Halo 2 sold 8 million copies , and I bet 80% of the people whoare thinking about buying Halo 3 already own a 360 . Plus , Halo 3is already overshadowed by COD4 and Crysis.

So you're assuming all of Halo 3 fans are willing to pay the higher price and not wait for release and price drops? I love when people speculate like this like they're close to the truth or something. I know many people who pre-ordered Halo 3 before they even got a 360. Pretty much waiting for a release and/or a price drop

I only bought my 360 cause it was on sale for $50 less plus four free games which was a wicked deal. Otherwise I would have waited to this upcoming holiday season

I was planning to buy Halo3, but Crysis, a PC shooter wish nice visuals, and CoD4, another linear war game, stopped me from doing it.

I have to bash CoD4 because CoD2 and 3 were to terrible to me that they made me angry.

and what makes you so confident that you know how many 360s I think halo 3 will sell? ...I could be predicting it will only sell one, which would really render this thread completely useless, so I'm sorry to disappoint.

If Ms can sell 1.1 million units with gears last December, I think Halo 3 can do the same, if not better.

Here' some common sense imo.

If all these people want Halo 3. Why would you buy a console like two years before your game is coming out when it is most expensive and not bundled?

If you really want Halo 3 and that is selling the system for you than you would wait for Halo 3 to come out and wait for a price drop and both will happen by this holiday season.

I bought it early again cause of a deal, otherwise I would be getting one in november

The September NPD numbers will blow you away. You underestimate the game. I'm calling a minimum of 1.5 million 360s sold and that's a low expecation for Halo 3 compared to many others.

Um, how do you come to that conclusion? There has been no Halo game for Xbox 360, so most Halo gamers wouldn't already own the console. I am thinking the reason that people already bought it was for PDZ and Gears of War. There are still a lot of Halo fans that need to "Jump In".

this comment will be valid about 1-2 weeks before Halo is released as the majority of Halo fans will have an X360 in anticipation of the game's release.

When Halo 3 moves consoles there will be alot of Crow to eat for the doubters. Notice how there is alot of publisherspushing their games back just to aviod colliding with Halo 3 should tell you something.Zero-G_basic
