first have you played halo if you have and you liked it a lot then do what you please, but if you never played halo your gambling on something you never tried and could be making a mistake. i suggest you do some research on 360 games and future ps3 games and see which one you like more. also play halo if you never played it.
well i would sell it now because soon they are going to cut down the price of your system again and it will be even more worthless
if you have the 60 gig you might be able to sell it on ebay and have enough for a 360.
halo might not be worth selling it but Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Forza 2, Bioshock, Xbox Live and much much more makes it worth it to sell your PS3.
I would say that it is stupid to sell a system over one game. The 360 has some great games and Halo 3 should not be the only reason you sell the PS3. You should look at the game library as a whole.
Go for it. You can always buy a PS3 again in a couple of months when Sony has lowered the price again or something once you're done with Halo 3. It's a phenomenal game.

Hell Resistance has a better campaign and the multiplayer is just like Halo2's. The customization stuff is great but unless you've got a large group of online friends it's pretty pointless since there's no public custom games. Matchmaking is severely limited and gets boring fast. Only appeal to Halo3 really is that everyone plays it and you always have fun playing games with friends... even if it is trash alone.

I can't believe all the people here who are saying give up a promising piece of $600 hardware that has an HD media player and a host of other features for one game. I mean I love Halo, very very much, but if I could trade my copy of Halo 3 for a whole PS3 system I'd do it right now.
its a great game, and worth buying a 360 for (i did). but definately not worth selling a PS3 for. I can guarantee that if you sold your PS3 for a 360 and Halo 3, you would begin to miss a lot of things. I personally cant stand the 360 dashboard for example, and im finding live isnt all its cracked up to be. If i had sold my PS3 id be really missing it about now.
No one game validates buying a console IMO. Look at the 360 library and if you see other games that interest you in addition to Halo 3 then by all means go ahead and trade PS3 for 360, but don't jump ships for one title.

You should only do that if you think you'll enjoy the Xbox 360 more than the PS3. It's probably not worth doing if the only game you're interested in is Halo 3. Probably.

Exactly just WAIT a year or two more for quality games that should already be available on the PS3. Or...you could get rid of the thing while it's worth more right now, buy a 360 which actually has plenty of awesome games, and purchase the PS3 when it has really dropped it's ridiculous price and has a few games actually worth playing.
No way. Halo 3 is awesome but keep your PS3. You would loose money on the deal and your better off saving that money and buying COD 4, UT3 or Haze for your FPS fix. There is going to be no lack of awesome FPS this gen.

Halo was good enough reason for me to get an Xbox 1. I would do the same for Halo 3if I didn't have a 360. As for selling your PS3 I wouldn't do it you will lose money on selling your system. Just save up for 360/Halo 3 like you did with your PS3.
