confusing they didnt explain anything in detail and i didnt feel sad if the key charachters died eg.wood as oppoesed to the way i felt when soap died or when sandman was trapped. What is microsoft thinking? In a november month, what makes them think 360 players are going to pick up halo 4 over a cod title? There is no FPS game that can compete with the quality and content that cod offers every year. I guess they are going to have to learn the hard way, just like EA did with battlefield 3. Im sure all of you will agree with me, halo 4 is setting itself up for a failure by launching in cod territory.Second_Hokage
BF3 has sold around 10 million...pretty sure those are very successful numbers...anyway, HALO is a completely different FPS targeted at a different audience...I'm sure it'l do just fine.
Looking foward to both.... Have not always been a fan of the Halo games. But they have the potential to be fantastic games. I'm also interested to see what 343 Industries does with the franchise. As for Blackops 2 I think it will be a good game, not sure if much will change, but Treyarch has always done a good job with the COD games, at least more than IW has done in the past 4 years.
I'll buy both, and if Black Ops is any indication, I'll be doing my online on Black Ops 2 for sure. I know gamers here turn their nose up on COD here, and pull the superiority card, but my friends and I still do Black Ops. I'll enjoy the single player in Halo 4 1000x more probably.
Release it in September. Problem solved.ninjapirate2000
Pretty much. However, I think Halo 4 might get a good shot against BO2, because on the 360 is where the Halo fanboys are.
eh considering the fact halo is an exclusive game for the most part to the 360 then I doubt its worried about garnering wide sales only appealing to the halo fans on the xbox systems.
Really if halo were released on the ps3 I wonder how many sales it would get?
i bet Halo 4 would sell well on all platforms.eh considering the fact halo is an exclusive game for the most part to the 360 then I doubt its worried about garnering wide sales only appealing to the halo fans on the xbox systems.

I can't agree with any assertion backing the line of thinking that says Call of Duty = unmatched quality.
I will say that I expect Black Ops 2 to outsell everything this holiday season. When it comes to sales, COD has proven itself to be king, and until I see otherwise I'll expect more of the same.
I agree, but cod has way more replay value, its not like in halo 4 you can customize your weapons, get kill streak rewards, and prestige. These are the keys to successful shooters nowadays.I'll buy both, and if Black Ops is any indication, I'll be doing my online on Black Ops 2 for sure. You need to check the leaked info from the upcoming GameInformer. Halo looks to be better at that aspect. Only thing is no weapon customization, which would be terrible for Halo anyway. What is microsoft thinking? If you were to take Halo sells on the Xbox and expand it if it was released on each console, Halo would have sold more. Analysis by a professional doctor.
Halo 4 looks like the biggest garbage I have ever seen.BangYongGukGarbage troll attempt is garbage. If it is the worst thing you have seen, then you need to find a different hobby.

Err that isn't the debate, hater. Halo has come and gone, that popularity it once had isn't there no more, COD has taken the crown concerning FPS's. Sales have shown this.
Even though I didn't like Black Ops, it atleast made some welcome changes to the franchise. Let's hope this brings in some more radical changes.

What did EA have to learn? BF3 sold a sh*t ton.
Halo 3 outsold CoD4 so it's not like it's impossible.Eponique
Yeah it is. CoD's popularity has grown incredibly since 2007. The only way a Halo game could possibly outsell CoD is if it went multiplat. Aint gonna happen.

Exactly the point right there. Halo is the best selling series on that platform. Sure COD will get its sales on all platforms, but 360 will still see a huge software attach rate on its exclusive title. There is no reason at all for 343i not to believe that 360 players will choose Halo 4 over COD. They have nothing to worry about at all.

ALOT!!! cod games on ps3 outsells halo easily, modern warfare 3 is 12m on ps3 and 13.5m on xbox

Halo Reach sold fine against CoD MW2.
Master_ShakeXXX
You mean Black Ops :P
Whatever.
Different markets.
Halo fans gonna buy Halo regardless of which CoD is out. Halo Reach is still played by a lot of people despite CoD and Battlefield 3 sucking up a lot of players.

Of course PS3 gamers pick up more copies of COD. Halo isn't available on that platform. Halo 4 sales will be just fine as far as the only platform to carry it is concerned. And just FYI, Halo has always had consistent sales records of at least $100 million (going back to Halo 2), just within the first 24 hrs alone.
kinda pisses me off nobody really talked about halo november 15th 2001 ONLINE.
but like a year after the game launched all the sudden its popular.
I hope Halo 4 turns out really good and puts a major dent into CoD. I am so tired of that goddamn game and hearing everyone talk about it in real life all the time. A guy in my Disaster Management class swore that if there was a zombie outbreak he would fair off better than everyone else because of how much Nazi Zombies he had playedin Black Ops
