Halo 4 or Killzone Shadowfall?

Halo 4 is awesome, best campaign in the series imo, new Forerunner enemies were WAY better than Flood of games past.

Killzone is Killzone. Lol. No thanks.

Title updated Halo 4 is at least some fun, and I'll take a Halo campaign (as mediocre as those are) over a Killzone campaign.

Now if it was Killzone 2 vs Halo 4, I'd take Killzone 2 any day of the week.

since when is Killzone one of the biggest FPS franchises? I'm pretty sure it's irrelevant and after shadowfall GG has moved onto a much better looking game

Halo 4. I loved Halo 4. I've tried to play KZ Shadowfall a few times and gave up pretty early each time due to being bored.

No question it's Halo 4 for me. 343's campaign was probably my favorite campaign of all the Halo games, whereas Shadow Fall started out strong but after the second area that's large where you can tackle objectives how you like, the game just falls flat.

2-3) Halo / Battlefield 60 million each

4) Rainbow 6 - 26 million

5-6) Counter Strike/ Ghost recon - 25 million each

7) Far Cry - 20 million

8) Half Life - 16 million

9) Borderlands - 14 million

10) L4D - 11 million

Thats what I could find online from the top FPS franchises all time. Could be a little outdated but it's clear CoD has a huge lead and halo/BF round out the top 3 and nothing else comes close. It's crazy to see Halo so high since it's pretty much mostly an exclusive. No other game on that list is exclusive. KZ seems to be around the 10 million mark. I was also surprised to see far cry so high.

Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon and 4 have all been absolutely awesome games that sold loads, yet System Wars never seems to mention them. It confuses me :P

Are you using chartz? Some of these numbers look weird.

Either way, I used numbers starting from last gen,. not LTD. Because half the best selling franchsies from then are no longer relevant (Hi Metal of Honor)

I have a ps4 but I like halo.The only reason to buy an xbox is that game.But in halo 4 the campaign was short like a cod game.And also I didn't like the new enemies at all and the new story era.I preffered the first trilogy.But it's a really good game.Killzone is boring.

When was killzone big? TC are you from an alternate reality in which good reviews are the same actually good or successful? Pretty sure CoD, Battlefield, Borderlands, Bio Shock are all bigger but I could be wrong.

While Shadow Fall isn't the best in the series, it was a tech demo after all at launch. Halo 4 is the clear winner.

Back when Halo was a big thing among gaming for FPS, Sony kinda got jealous and wanted there own Halo like game so that's why Killzone was made in the first place. The first one really suck, the second game was a hell of an improvements, can't say about Killzone 3, never played that one. So no, Killzone isn't the biggest franchise and it's no where near on Halo's level. Killzone was never the Halo killer, that statement was made up by fanboys.

ActuallY GG games said they made the game and SONY pushed the game to be the Halo Killer. Whichever is telling the truth I don't know.

@TigerSuperman: To be honest, I really can't say it was the fanboys that stated the Halo Killer to begin with but I do remember a interview with Guerrilla Games claiming Killzone is not a Halo killer but Sony sure was trying to get this series a Halo wannabe.

I'd say 1-7 and 9 are still relevant today. They all have games that came out last year, this, year, or next year. The one exception is CS but it's still a highly played game on PC (GS:GO) and still only 3 years old. only HL and L4D are dead franchises form that list.

Comparing an Adventure horror game to a TPS Puzzle Adventure games, when this thread compares futuristic FPS to Futuristic FPS both on their 4th entry, both considered the worst entries. Which actually makes sense.
