Very interesting indeed. So Titanfall, Halo 5, possibly Halo 2 and Forza 5 vs inFamous, Uncharted, The Order and Killzone. Not a bad start to this gen for either company.

so this pretty much confirms if halo 2 remake is coming out this year it would have no multiplayer component because m$ wouldnt want to fragment the fan base.

This is exactly the timeline I predicted based on the release dates from previous Halos and 343's Halo 4's release date, but 2015 would have worked as well. Next Gen launches screw with the development cycles, and therefore make predictions tougher though. Good to know a date at least...but I'm still not convinced they are going to juggle two Halo's this year. I don't see it, but anything is possible. Then again, the PS4 is on beast mode right now and Halo 5 could stop the rampage.

The online multiplayer war for the next gen communities is going to be tough in any event. 343's Halo 4's online community dwindled/fizzled. We got our BF and CODs, but now Halo has to contend with Bungie's Destiny, EA's Titan Fall, Evolve, and whatever else.

Let the best man (multiplayer game) win.

I'd rather have that than Halo0 2 remake.

The ONLY Halo I partially enjoyed was the first one. I will check it out, but I will very unlikely get it. After playing the Titanfall beta, although it was better than I expected it is a pass too because gameplay quickly became overly repetitive and dull. Good news for CoD style gameplay fans though.

they're so desperate that they're releasing two Halo titles in 2014. Next years it'll be two Forza and in 2016 it'll be two Gears. WOWzorz.

Will be interesting to see what kind of things they will add/improve upon in halo 5.

MS's lack of investment in securing/creating new IP's is really going to start showing. The Xbox 360 at least started with a few new IP's that became franchises. Xbox 1 is starting with Forza 5 and Halo 5.

Not to imply that Sony is much better off right now [4th Uncharted and Infamous console titles]. This situation will probably end up changing heavily in Sony's favor over the next couple of years.

Sad I will miss out on the game, but I still feel the PS4 is the right choice.

That said, it is an Insomniac Title, and AFAIK MS doesn't hold any ownership over the new IP, N'or does Insomniac necessarily owe them any allegiance.

I wouldn't include Ryse, since it was bad and it is extremely doubtful that a new IP will spawn from it.

D4 and Project Spark definitely count, but qualifying them also means you have to consider a lot of the new games coming from smaller studio's for the PS4 as well.

Not even been a year and already sweet next gen epicness from Sony and Microsoft.

As much as I enjoyed playing the Halo games, I'm in no rush to getting an X1 anytime soon. I just don't like the console.
