Halo beaten to top spot by soccer games, Halo 3 sales drop by 75%

In the UK (3rd biggest game market)

ChartTrack reports a 79 percent drop in sales for Halo 3 in its second week while EA's FIFA 08 claims the top spot in the PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and All Formats Top 40 Charts. The PS2 version overtakes Halo 3 as this week's Individual Formats (Units) No. 1.

I think it's fairly obvious sales would drop. The bazillion people got it at launch, now it's just the stragglers.

Staying on topic, fifa sells loads every year for some reason. I am not sure but i think it mightgross the similar number of sales to that of halo 3 on 360 alone.

Well considering that over 1/3 of the total 360 crowd got it in the first week, wow.

But I am one of those who hates FPS on console, much prefer it on my PC. But I will be one of those odd ducks that gets it in the next few weeks, do the single portion of the game to learn it, and then get my azz slaughtered online since I am new to the series.

Looking forward to being the NOOB in the Halo wars......:?

Just so you know the term soccer was invented in the UK and was used as a name for Association Football (basically the same game as modern football) to differentiate it from Rugby football. Its not some thing we Americans pulled out of thin air just to be dicks. Its kinda silly to mock the US for using a name YOU invented.
