Anything that has high financial success is going to be "milked." What's your point? If you make an IP, give it a first game, and it racks up millions of dollars, and a massive loyal fanbase, are you just going to move on, or do more with it?

Honestly, I love the Halo games, but I'm surprised by this, yet at the same time I'm not.

Actually it's kind of exciting.

Halo is becoming like the "Star Wars" of video games. Millions of loyal fans, merchandise, movies, anime, novels.

actuallu there was a director who likened it's potential to be Star Wars.

Yes there are comics. There is Halo: Uprising and they're making a new one for the ODSTs since Halo 3: ODST is coming out next month.

Star Wars fans have been enjoying Star war's universe for years. They get MMOs, board games, comics, movies, cartoons. If you're a fan it's good news.

There are novels, comics, action figures/vehicles, laser tag, t-shirts, keychains... That's what a franchise is.

Star Wars fans have been enjoying Star war's universe for years. They get MMOs, board games, comics, movies, cartoons. If you're a fan it's good news.

Another concept is milking, we call cows cows because of the milking done in the ps2 generation.
Not because games would receive books, or board games, because too do certain things with the system you had to buy more and more, like multitap, or network connecter or hard drive...etc

A game getting popular and haveing a well rounded franchise is not milking.
