[QUOTE="nmaharg"][QUOTE="froidnite"][QUOTE="nmaharg"] [QUOTE="Spindoc_SEI"]You're saying that Halo is better than Crysis because of multiplayer, even though you said single player was better in Crysis? What flawed logic...horrowhip
Flawed logic?
Single player lasts maybe 10 hours in both games. I have been playing Halo online for about 3 years now. Online life span > Single player life span. Making online much more important, to me at least.
Most played/best selling games on PC aren't single player.
Self owned.....Highest selling franchise on PC is The Sims.I should have been clearer. I meant in the FPS genre.
Let me list the highest selling FPS games from the PC
Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Bioshock, etc.
CoD 4 sold very well too.
Thing is, the first 4 games are SP GAMES. Far Cry had a pretty lame MP, although mods did improve it. HL is a game synomous with SP, NOT MP. The mods were good but those were mods. Bioshock also sold very well recently. Actually, it even outsold the 360 version if you count world-wide and digital distribution sales.
Half-life series owes most of its sale to CS, everyone knows this. I didn't even bother installing hl2 until I had already played cs:s about 200 hours. And games like bioshock are super rare on the pc. I'm only a few levels in but I can truely understand why it has sold the way it has. Its an incrediably involved game.
