Halo > Crysis

And this is coming from a PC gamer. Crysis while in single player is great, loses all of its steam once you hop online. Other than UT and CS, halo is by far the best online FPS I have ever played.

I still don't understand why it gets so much hate from my fellow PC gamers.

Halo 2 sucks though.

I'll go as far to say if you don't enjoy the original halo online you don't like FPS at all. It's unbalanced as hell as far as weapons go, but thats why makes it fun at the same time.

... thats not it... It just isn't the all that great. It is good. But it isn't THAT good. Lemmings treating it like the god of all games is perfect proposterous and undeserved. I understand enjoying it, because it IS a good game but it DOES NOT deserve to be listed among the top 25 games of all time. Not even close.

Also, I enjoy Crysis MP more than Halo. Takes a very long time to get the hang of it and get good at it, but it is a better MP IMO. Easily debated though.

So consoles have a decent FPS, but does it surprise you that it plays like crap on PCs? Halo is no Unreal or Quake or many of thelesser known titles like Shogo.

Single player lasts maybe 10 hours in both games. I have been playing Halo online for about 3 years now. Online life span > Single player life span. Making online much more important, to me at least.

Power Struggle is pretty good. Also, some of the upcoming mods have INSANE MP options.... 28 Months Later mod is looking great. Obsidian Edge II is also going to have some great MP games. Power Struggle is better than you make it out to be.... It's actually quite good.

Let me list the highest selling FPS games from the PC

Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Bioshock, etc

CoD4 sold well and the MP certainly helped that.

Thing is, the first 4 games are SP GAMES. Far Cry had a pretty lame MP, although mods did improve it. HL is a game synomous with SP, NOT MP. The mods were good but those were mods. Bioshock also sold very well recently. Actually, it even outsold the 360 version if you count world-wide and digital distribution sales.

So playing the same thing over and over again for three years makes a game better than an impressive single player campaign that leaves a mark on the player? Replayability is a factor, but not to the extent you describe. That's just excessive.

ok. Well, I guess it isn't your type of game. It is good though. Personally, I find halo to be a no-skill spamfest. Melee and grenades are overpowered IMO. It is fun but I like more skilled games. Power Struggle is difficult.

Bolded for truth, im sorry but when everyones Melee kills are higher than anything its not a primary shooter in my eyes, its also very slow paced with barely any skill envolvment other than aiming ( no sprint to cover/bunny hoping, lots of cover ) ect.

It just doesnt feel like a shooter half the time, when you are firing you just hold the button down and look other than sniper rifle/Spartan Lazer and shotguns.
