- Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free-to-play
- Arena aims for 120fps on Xbox Series X
- Battle Pass system
- Customization options completely new to Halo Halo will be *huge*.
Groundbreaking F2P MP Up to 120 FPS reduced load times creating seamless gameplay with series X.
With 360 visuals, it should be running at 240fps 😂
And to compete with Fartnite, CoD, Apex, they have to go f2p for its multiplayer. They don't even need to confirm it, its obviously gonna be f2p
If the game is running at 4K/60... Dropping the resolution to 1440P and leaving the framerate unlocked you can call it "120FPS"... But in reallity its just going to be a unlocked framerate which is good but chances are it will have framerates from 60-120FPS depending on whats going on and the level.
Maintaining a LOCKED 120FPS... You would need a GPU/CPU that hits 160FPS average in the game with a 1% low of 120+FPS then you can locked it to 120FPS and get no framerate drops.
Just in case you people are confused, on the subject of frame rates.
If they do all of those things then that is absolutely awesome. I like everything I see even if it's rumors. Either way it's good to see high bars being set. The shiny graphics/textures and bells and whistles can be patched in or worked on over time. Give me the fastest frames available, customization, battle pass, and tight gameplay. I mean... that's what it's all about. Some games are great to look at, but that's about it.
I'm hoping they can pull it off.

They can, they have the hardware to do it.
The issue is if the engine is made to run at 120FPS and if the developer is talented enough to develop a game to reach those frames, seeing as how conservative the game looks visually I take it pretty seriously that 120FPS might be a legit option on lower resolutions.
As someone who games on a 4K LG OLED with a 120Hz display but doesn't have a GPU with HDMI 2.1 so I game at 1440/120Hz... The fluidity and responsiveness is something that no resolution or graphical feature can replace.
Its why I game on PC and with a RTX 3080 Ti around the corner again if you have the money you don't have to sacrifice much as I am sure I will be playing the game at 4K/100-120FPS with G-Sync enabled.
So we go from “there’s no multiplayer” to “multiplayer is f2p” in a week...
If only there were a way Xbox could control their own prelaunch messaging
I’m not sure why lems are celebrating that a Xbox 360 looking game could do 120 fps.
I take it that they’ve missed the Halo event last week, because 99% of the gaming media has been talking about how badly Halo graphics look.
@xmasturcheefxx:
Probably but it will not be because PlayStation (their only profitable branch).
Microsoft just is a better business and more competently run. Xbox may not have the same instal base but is higher quality and more pro consumer
120fps is butter smooth gameplay you would need a 3000$ pc for
