Halo infinite campaign previews impression. Finally Halo game we deserve

After 1 year they have surprisingly not improved it but also made most ambitious Halo title. making it semi sandbox game and talking away small corridor scripted formula of previous title post Halo 1.

Was interested first then get disinterested then get milldy interested then interested before few days releasing.

After crap like Cod and BF 2077 this looks so polished and finished.

Im no Halo fan but COD and Battlefield are waay and waay below Halo.

The visual looks monotonous and generic compared to games like HZD and TLOU2, and the combat looks slow and dull compared to games like Doom and Returnal.

Very ugly visuals, but gameplay seems to be good enough to be worth playing, especially for $1-10 on pc.

Am enjoying the multiplayer and I look forward to this on Game Pass!

HZD is trash. after playing it on PC for 30 mintues I realize sony games should stay sony. its more of ubisoft title.

Very positive reception thus far. Looking forward to playing it but might hold off until May to co-op with my brother.

I think it looks quite good myself. Am really enjoying the multiplayer currently and am very hyped to start playing the campaign mode. Not too far away now. Woo hoo! 😁

then your not going to like halo. it is open world now and I bet its going to have a way to unlock that section of the map just like Ubisoft games.

Halo infinite looks good in the 4k vids I have seen, certainly destroying cows zoomed in 720p screenshots narrative

Visually it's not revolutionary, but definitely on par with todays titles (despite what the cows will say). What an improvement over last year. Then again, Halo is all about the story and gameplay, not the graphics. That being said - gameplay sounds like it will be excellent!

The Staten interview today confirmed that it's not like the Ubisoft games, and you don't unlock sections and you don't craft or any of that stuff.

At least is higher resolution than returnal and doesn't drops frames like returnal lol.. imagine being internally 1080p game and can't keep those 60 fps lock.

Yeah, but by visuals I am talking about visual style/presentation. Something like how well 3D models are detailed, stylized and animated, and how effectively lighting, colors and spaces are used to create a stunning atmosphere for a game. Not just resolution or photorealism. Can you see the differences here?

5 months after the game launches. 😐 I remember folks saying "it is just 3 months". The reality is that Halo Infinite with co-op has been delayed for 17 months. 12 months for the base game and an additional 5 months for co-op.

Well, considering 1080Peturnal is a next gen only game that can't keep 60fps, THAT says it all. Ouch.

My point is the texture quality etc is better on returnal, it was not released on PS4.

What? The texture quality is one of the things that Returnal was getting dinged for. They were calling the textures blurry. With Halo, the textures are CRISP.

At its heart, Returnal operates at a relatively low internal resolution, then uses a couple of techniques to boost the quality of the output.

Texture quality among other visuals assets are not automatically hindered because a game can run on a weaker platform. That reasoning is incorrect.

Certainly, the bits I remember enjoying the most in Halo CE was when the game opened up and let me roam and do things my way. Open world seemed like the most natural evolution of the Halo formula. Just surprised it took them this long.

Unfortunately, it's releasing in December, which means I'll be saving up my budget for the winter sales. Gonna have to wait till next year to buy this. On the plus side, I'll have more time to play through the MCC.

Not sure why people can't just admit Halo Inf isn't a looker. It's passable, which is all it has to be.

ACG seems to love the campaign. Good for halo fans. Maybe a strong 9/10 coming for Microsoft? They are having a really great go of this generation.

Think it’s always been like that. Halo CE was a looker for the time, and 3 stepped it up but it was never an overly detailed game. Smooth though, which matters more to me.

Not sure why some can't admit that Halo Infinite IS a looker. Digital Foundry has praised it. I am guessing Digital Foundry doesn't count now?

The 3D models I mentioned are not just character models, but all the 3D models that make up the environment, including plants, flowers, trees, mountains, and buildings. Also, I used HFW because there was no easy-to-understand comparison video with HZD, but I replaced it with a HZD video. It is still beautiful, isn't it?

I'm a big Halo fan, but mainly for its MP. Halo 2 has always been my favorite with Halo 3 in very close second. Halo infinite is right in there with those 2 but its faster. Id say Halo infinite might very well be the best Halo. Will have to see when the full package comes out.
