@IMAHAPYHIPPO: I hope they do!
Infinite will most likely be PC leverageable rather than cross-gen.
But I predicted this very thing. Once again...

@Steppy_76:
MS WANTS a complete PC type environment for console development (no generations) where the hardware that runs multiplats the best are the most impressiveness and exclusives have little importance.
Games would be built around the least common denominator forcing stagnation in progression of game advancement...I.E. trying to kill the AAA market in favor of producing cheap games with little investment for endless cash though GASS.
TL;DR
MS doesn't want to produce high profile AAA games anymore because they want all profit with no investment and hate having to compete with Sony's high end AAA offerings!
Killing generations would help that initiative. That's the long and short of it.

MS can't help but to participate in the generation transition if Sony is going to start theirs, but the development for games on MS's next upgrade is turning out EXACTLY like I outlined it here.
And I pitty the dimwit dumb enough to buy MS's hardware next gen. for anything other than being invested in it's ecosystem, otherwise It's worthless!
You can clearly see MS wants to start out the gen making XboneNext hardware simply a generic BOX that can play games in 4k, while offering all their games to every other platform. They are developing Halo around PC and not the Nextbox's strength for god's sake.
No one besideds xbox fans already deeply invested in MS's ecosystem have any reason to buy the next xbomb, this announcement solidified it for me.
Xbox is officially DEAD.
NextBox = any random PC build from 2019 except with added online fees.
Lems may not have been completely wrong about gens may be dead...but it's only for xbox. MS treating their own hardware as a generic box, kiss any possibility of a graphics king goodbye lems.
