I still had great fun with Halo 5, still go back frequently for the Warzone Firefight. I think the game's biggest flaw was not containing the story solely in the game. From a pure gameplay angle though 343 has the game nailed. I think the Banished coming into Halo Infinite will do great for the story, and give players a more familiar enemy to contend with.
Curious about direction Halo Infinite is going with mention of like a 25 hour main mission campaign and 40 hours with side missions. Sounds more open world or semi-open, but not sure if this means content will be contained to an SP with MP co-op kind of game like Gears 5, or a game that blurs the whole SP/MP thing like Destiny or Division.
My only doubts about work on new game though stem around 343 not working solely on it, but also working through the MCC releasing on PC, and working through those issues, seems that such an effort might suck vital resources away from Halo Infinite's crunch time.
I stoked to see more of it, and to play it when it releases, and to get the new Series X. But maybe my one foreseeable contention coming up is it launching next to Cyberpunk 2077, which I am also dying to play. I want to play both equally as bad, they come out around same time.
