WB is publishing it, of course they will want a Blu ray version. Don't think MS will have much say in it.

MS and Sony arn't cry babies like some people on here so I doubt MS is too worried about it.

I doubt we will see a Blu-ray addon for the 360, it is not needed at all

Every upcoming movie release is out on blu-ray, so these two issues are not related

You would think it would be imminent, but ironically I'll be watching this on my PS3.

They should offer 360 owners "the choice" of Blu-ray since that's what they said they would do in the beginning.

Unrelated. We'll probably see it on the 360 via the Zune's Video Marketplace, though.

Well considering HD DVD is dead, they really have no choice.

No. Not really. Sony doesn't own Blu-ray solely, and even if they did, I sincerely doubt they'd pass up on the royalties from a Halo Blu-ray.

Blu-ray is the standard in Physical HD formats. So It only makes sense that Halo would be released on it considering it's an anime.

Also, Sony worked with Toshiba when creating the Cell that's in every PS3. Toshiba making a Blu-ray player means nothing.

Nah, Microsoft only likes Blu Ray when they are attempting to bash Apple in their "laptop hunters" commercials. The best part? Halo may actually look better on a PS3 than a 360 haha.

I'm certain it will be, but those PSN/XBL HD movies aren't even close to Blu-Ray quality (25-50gig movies).

I have quite a 5 DVD and 2 Blu-Ray players in the house, I like to have the product in my hands so I can take it between rooms, or to a friends house etc.

Every single release is on BD, why would this be any different?

It doesn't mean anything.
