Old. I think it's lame, and it seems that more and more people have the game, looking at the Youtube videos and leaks.

its to do with early access for reviewers or something you need a unique access code too.

on another note,

Pyrates ye be warned

Be conncected to the internet while playing a pirated version of a game that's yet to come out would be really really stupid. So unless the pirate is a complete dumbass, there wont be a problem.

It doesn't matter if they play a pirated game online early or late, MS can ban any time.

You do know that even if you pirated a game and played it while your 360 wasn't hooked to the internet, Microsoft is gonna get the data once you do connect it? The 360 logs everything you do and sends it if it detects an active network connection. So, once you pirate a game, you can never play Xbox Live again.

Yes, unless you delete the data first. So again, only the dumbest people will get caught.

That's not even the point. What's Halo without playing online? Nothing.

So either they will have to play a legit copy, or not play at all online. Not to mention they are talking about banning the console AND account permanently. Veterans who care about their profile won't risk it.

That still won't stop the spoilers though :(

I dunno either, that is why I always question people who buy pirated games on consoles. You can't play online, so what is the point of playing it (hell, I've seen people buy MP only games).

Don't take my word for it, but it would make sense to be able to delete your own game data.

I don't know either, never had a pirated 360, but wouldn't it make sense for Microsoft to encrypt the data? After all, that data will tell them whether you stole their game or not, why would they just allow you to delete it?

People who pay for the game have to wait a month after people who get it for free illegally, nice to know the world is still fair. :(
