Halo Reach to be the best online competitive multiplayer this generation?

Do you think that Halo Reach will possibly be the best online competitive multiplayer game this generation thus far, and possibly for this generation when it reaches its end, either through your eyes, or through the eyes of the majority of the people that have played it (Excluding Fanboys)?

I wasn't impressed by Halo 3 myself. Might have to contemplate getting my first Xbox360 with the Halo Reach Bundle though.

Maybe not the best, but probably the most played. It is one game franchise that has a huge following, so I bet there will be lots of people playing it online, especially right after launch. If you own a 360 there will be no reason to skip this title.

Considering that Halo 1 was the best of the series, then the games have gone downhill from there, I don't expect much from reach. In fact I'm so excited I haven't pre-ordered it and have no plans to buy it at all. Mabey if they had dedicated servers instead of peer to peer like they have hadall along. Who wins games online shouldn't be determined solely by who has host or the best connection to the host. If you are one of the few people in the country that always has a great internet connection good for you, you can play the game "competitively" online ... if you're everybody else don't bother. Halo 3 online sucks what's gonna change?

Personally doubt HR is gonna be the most played My bet is on Black ops, 40 something something mil and 30something mill will get access to that game which is about 70 something mill to compared to a measly 40 something if every 360 owner plays the game that is.

For that particular type of shooter, yes it will. You can't compare it to Red Orchestra, for example.
