No, you don't, 1080p is possible through Component, your HDTV just has to beable to accept a 1080p signal through Component, I have one that does.

but hdmi is going to produce a better picture than component[QUOTE="Zam_basic"]You only need HDMI for 1080P you effing idiot. Get your facts straight before you make a damn fool of yourself next time. You don't even need HDMI for 1080p. I don't know where this "HDMI is necessary for 1080p resolution" idea started, but VGA has been able to output resolutions superior to 1080p for years.because the old one doesnt have HDMI

but hdmi is going to produce a better picture than component I agree, I wasn't disputing that, I was disputing what he said about 1080p not being possible through Component.
Do you think I have an HDMI or DVI connection for my 360?:
This is a glaring example of how cows are the inferior gamers, They don't even do research, they just say whatever they think is right...kinda like Sony!because the old one doesnt have HDMI

The TC is saying that 1080p is simply not possible on current 360s while it quite clearly is.

Once again, not the point I was making, he said you need HDMI for 1080p, which is false and I just proved that.
