Isn't this only confirmed for UK?

I've read nearly everything about this and nothing has come up about US version.Just cause UK has it doesn't mean US getting it, they also got the starter pack, we didn't.

Yeah, agreed.

It's great to see Sony starting to give us what we want. I think next year we'll see a nice rise in PS3 sales. Quality games like MGSIV and GT5 etc + fairly good price will do that.

no BC and I put monye on it that microsoft will drop prices or make the consoles even better by adding more stuff in the packsge.

and Wii might drop in price

and the new $599+ 160GB PS3 is for the hardcore gamer. (yes another new PS3 :P)

You know what's funny? Many people did, in fact, buy it for games AND the fact that it was a cheap Blu-Ray player.

Well its only been a year since the ps3 been launch... Though I honestly think they should of made a ps3 sku from the start with this price.

there are games for it. By the end of this year you can play Warhawk, Haze, Ratchet, Uncharted, Tekken online, Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Folklore and Motorstorm. Not to mention all the multiplats like Assassins Creed, Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero. If no game interests you then that's fine, but don't say it has no games because that's a fanboy lie.RedMarzBoy

Just like its a fanboy lie that almost all the games you named were to be some sort of killer app for the PS3. Not to mention would put the 360 to shame... And not to mention system sellers. Furthermore, I noticed that you left LAIR out of that games list. Any reason why? :lol:

Well the $399 40gb PS3 puts the PS3 in affordable range for people that all along just wanted the PS3 for games.

The $599+ 160gb PS3 would be for the Hardcore Gamer or User who wants to enhance there experience like with a extra HDMI port or the Multi-memory-card input or perhaps use there PS3 as a full fledge server with extra Ethernet ports etc.

When I got the 360 I had no problems and many great games to play on it.

If people don't want the kind of post that I make then fanboys shouldn't make worthless remarks like the TC did, get over yourself.

Look at the Iphone they did a price cut and released new fetures, but to make it up to the early adopters they gave them credit. Sony should bend over and thank people who paid for thier system.

Let them have thier core PS3, the original comes with mad wacked perhiprials. Memcard readers, WI-FI, and the likes. The PS3 needs a core model. That way they can compete with the 360.
