Hardest Game This Gen?

I was wondering what you all think the hardest game this gen is. I am looking for a good, challenging game So far for me it was Wipeout HD, ridiculously hard to conquer that game. I also played Armored Core 4 and the Ninja Gaidens. So what game should i try for a good challenge? I was thinking about Demon's Souls, but that game seems more about challenge in trial and error rather than reflexes.

From what I have played and remember right now, also even if I don't know if it is really hard or I'm just a noob in the genre but I believe the correct answer is DCS: Black Shark.

Seriously, roguelike RPG's are hard by nature, good choice.

Wait Blast Tactics doesn't have permanent dead? I see in the pic something about respawning or is it like start again from the beginning respawning?

Demon's Souls by far... You die because it's your fault, not because of trial and error, you could easily get killed by a lesser demon than a better demon if you're not paying attention. Plus, you can't pause the game (which was really to much), and you have to start allll the way over, just like in the old school games. Lol.GKinnel

It's Demon's Souls. That's the hardest game I've played in quite some time lol

well Demon's Souls is the hardest game i've played this gen. but i havent played every game this gen, im sure theres probably some obscure niche title i've never even heard of that is way harder.

Castle Shikigami is the Hardest game this and any other gen that had one. That series is unbeatable.

As hard as Demons Souls is, I doubt its anywhere near as hard as 黒 ("Kuroi" or Black) difficulty songs in Beatmania IIDX StyIe 15 DJ Troopers. There is about 65-75% more notes on screen than their equivalent Another charts. Demons Souls might take a lot of skill and good reaction time... but Kuroi difficulty is just insane. Only the best of the best can actually play it... I'm not sure if anyone can actually beat them (yet).

Yes, they are Quarter Munchers if ou play them at the Arcade but They are both on home consoles and are in fact the hardest games ever.

WipEout HD is definetly one of the hardest games Ive played-- u need mad skill to beat that game.

As a fan of Bullet Hell games I wouldn't say they are the "hardest games ever", but they have some of the hardest.

With all this talk of not being able to pause in Demon's Souls, am I the only one reminded of the scene in Southpark of the boys playing when when Cartman yells, "Mom! Bathroom!"

Lot of people had trouble with trials HD, reviews no being able to beat the hard tracks, let alone even get to extreme, I still can't beat inferno II :(
