The first Ninja Gaiden on the NES.Ibacai

My friend showed me a video of a shump last night that made Ikaruga look simple. The name evades me atm.

Steel batallion, 40 button 200$ controller. If you fail to eject and die you're data is wiped. GG saved games. pretty much all other games can be beaten if u try enough. You need some sorta kill switch to p[lay this game before you're data is wiped lol

Gradius III? Thats one of the hardest SHMUPs..and considering SHMUPs are a hard genre to begin with..there you go. Overall I would probably have to say Haunted Castle, not many people have played this..but the thing is ridiculously difficult, in good part because it was so dang unfair about everything. Who actually beat Tyson on the NES? I certainly didn't. Oh that street fighter 2010 game is hard, you play as this charactor ken its a shoot-em-up not a 2D fighting game, but why make it as confusing as possible. I originally purchased the game because I thought it was a Street fighter sequal, but it came out before Street fighter 2. Not really sure what happend there.

Compared to the other games being mentioned that was a cake walk.

Undoubtably the hardest games ever are from the 2D era. Before the time of strenuous quality controll, extensive play testing and focus groups.

well i beat FFVII but there was one monster that I just couldn't kill. I got close to killing that Titan like creature in the ocean ONE time, but never got that close again. Good thing killing that creature wasn't necessary to win the game.

Super Monkey ball 2 was pretty hard.
Not only were the stages difficult to get through, you have to fight off other things such as boredom from the repetitiveness or simple design.

Truly if i had to pick three i would go with

  • Secret of Mana (Snes)
  • Ninja Gaiden (Nes)
  • Jet Force Gemini

Hardest Mission

The RC Plane mission in San Andreas with the absolutely s***** controls and it would take like 49 tries to do it. i was so fricken proud when i finally did it. cuz my older bro couldnt do it and i was like pwnage. god that mission sucked

I was going to post that, but I figured someone would.. I tred to play that today, but eventually said screw and deleted very lil progess in the game I had. Only cost me 5 bucks in a bargain bin, no biggie.

Agree, capcom propbably make the hardests games. I've had a tough time with lost planet this week. not the hardest game ever, but it is hard. Ikaruga also springs to my mind.

Yeah some of the misisons on there, on the normal difficulty, let alone the hardest ones, are really annoying. I gave up and just finished the game on normal. You'd have to be a robot to complete it on hardcore.

I beat that game, but i had to dedicate my whole summer to being an absolute pro. The only problem was that once i beat it, no one would play multiplayer with me because they said it was "too hard" and "a crap game" :(

Yeah i agree, Cpcoms normal setting is like most games hard. DMD mode on the Devil May Cry games is tough as old leather boots.

Hmm, Kid Chameleon (Mega Drive/Genesis) I think.



Even though the game was fairly challenging, the biggest reason I never finished it was because it had nearly a 100 levels.
