Xbox 360- I have been through 3 in 3 years. 1 RROD and 2 e74 errors. Knock on wood my current Jasper elite is good. I also have had weird problems with play and charge kits. They work on some controllers and other controllers they just don't work, weird. I have also had my 360 lock up on me on numerous occasions causing a hard shut down.

Playstation 3: (80 GB MGS4 bundle version Backwards compatible) Numerous lock ups. It just does not respond sometimes. Slow network no matter what I try. I've put the isp through dmz, Tried numerous routers, and have opened all ports. My network speed on my ps3 is a fraction of what I get on my pc and 360. That includes wired and wireless.

Wii: The cursor will occasionally go haywire. The most reliable but also the most low tech.

Had 1 RROD so far. No problems since

Had to get Wii repaired because games would freeze. No problems since

PS3 has been fine, but only had it for a few weeks.

3 dead 360's, another with sporadic disc read problems.

2 dead 60 giggers- One of which I brought back to life using a haridryer.

No Wii troubles at all.

Of the 5 systems I've purchased this gen (2 ps3s, 1 360, 1 Wii), I only had HW issues with the Wii. The 360 occasionally wouldn't read the disc, but that just seems to be an all around problem with the system, rather than a particular issue with mine. The Wii's power supply would just stop sending juice to the system. Leaving it unplugged for a while seemed to fix it.

On another note I've owned 2 Samsung LCDs this gen and they both crapped out around 18 months in. I just fixed the second one. I may have to go with a different brand next time.

I have had a problem with all three consoles.

My first 360 kept freezing so after a while i returned it.

My Ps3 and Wii that i had problems with were just bad units from the get go, so they were exchanged.

PS2 had read disk errors. DS has a broken speaker and dust inside the screen (I don't even know how), and Wii had read disk errors and overheated.

PS3 - 40GB YLoD, Disc error, and finally died as far as I'm concerned when it stopped reading Blu-rays. Bought a 120GB Slim but it kept Freezing up so I took it back and got a 250GB Slim, and it has worked great ever since I've owned it. Maybe the third time is the charm.

Wii - Fan stopped running, but fixed it with an inter cooler. Then found a $4 fan and repaired it. Just traded it for a black one a few months ago, no problems yet.

360 - I've been really lucky I guess. I just traded my 20GB launch for the 360S and it never had a problem before I traded it. The most that happened would be that the DVD drive would get loud sometimes, but then it would quiet back down. It never failed on me. But then I also had it nicely ventilated, My 60GB Falcon has been going strong and quiet since Feb.09.

No problems with the latest consoles. I had a problem with my DS not reading carts because of a dirty game but it seems fixed now. My original used xbox disc drive was pretty much dying when I got it. I had a NES that had problems going down had to use a game genie to put games in. Nomad had a few dead pixels and have had typical cart problems with games before. That's pretty much all the problems I ever had, outside some wear and tear issues with controllers.

Wii had some graphical glitches, but was still fully functional. Got it repaired and it freezes ever once and a while. I broke the L trigger on my DSi, but that one was my fault for dropping it a few times.

Nope I haven't had that problem. My PC has worked flawlessly for the four years that I have owned it.

360 pro launch system none, 360 elite e74 fixed for free in 1 week 2 days.

Ps3 60 gig original launch system hdmi port failed, managed to find a spare hdmi port online, friend paid me for my original 60 gig, and spare hdmi port he was superior to me in soldering, so we fixed it, and I purchased another launch 60 gig used.

Wii has froze a few times, but that was on my original launch Wii...I sold it, got one for like 100 bucks used from a friend.

Oh god, where do I begin? PS3 (all 60GB models) - #1 chewed up my copy of MGS4, which rendered it to frequent stop-start-skip stutters for any given cutscene that was playing. #2 was already overheating just at the XMB #3 was fine for a month... but then suffered GPU failure, and had to be submitted in to Sony for repair. #4 works, but puts out burning hot air and easily heats up the room while playing. Definitely need to fix that. 360 - I've only had one legit RRoD on a launch model, and that was actually not due to the internal hardware, but the hard drive it came with failed. It could run fine without the hard drive it came with, but I bought it with the drive, and that's what the best buy warranty was for. Then one day the thing refused to accept media streaming no matter how much troubleshooting I did or how many hours (yes, hours) I spent on the phone with Xbox technical support. And since the modem and router with Verizon are the same piece of hardware, that can't just be replaced so easily. Convenient opportunity gave me a chance to 'upgrade' to the last of the GOOD Elites (read: coming with all the cabling and stuff) for cheap. Been solid since. Wii - yea, that cursor is a finicky little bastard. GameCube - developed "disc cannot be read" errors with some games, most notably Metroid Prime. Curiously, it only got real bad very late, and I'd had enough money and a chance to buy a Wii at the time, so I was able to simply retire the GameCube anyway. PS2 - First one developed disc read errors like every PS1 leading up to it, at which point I was at my limit with dealing with unreliable $ony garbage. Dumped it off as quickly as possible, and HAD been able to do without for a good couple of years. Until too many of the games I wanted to play were either (a) better on PS2, (b) only on PS2, or (c) would have required Xbox 1 + Xbox Live. Irritatingly, bought another one a couple of years later, but prepared by getting my first modded one - at least then, games it might ruin could simply be re-burned rather than be irreplaceable. Started having the same DRE problems, and did NOT want a flimsy, neutered slim. Sent it to the seller for repair operation... on the last day of testing before it would had been sent back to me, its disc drive shattered to bits. My only regret is that he didn't have a camera handy, but I could just hear the shock in his voice on the phone. So, he did good by me, found one of the more reliable revisions of 'phat' PS2, replaced all the capacitors and reinforced the bits inside, as well as transferring the modchip over. $5 worth of solder and caps and it has been the one Sony product that actually has been reliable for me. N64 - those stupid analog sticks would quite literally grind themselves to dust. PS1 - First one was DOA. Wouldn't turn on, wouldn't give a display... nothing. Second one probably ruined far too many games for me to even want to try and inventory anymore. Yet even now I miss it, for no other reason than the fact that the third one lacked the Parallel port that allowed the Gameshark pro to plug in and work. Finally, the third one went in the crapper by the time I was able to get the second PS2.
