DS: 2,046,652

Wii: 1,457,872

PSP: 725,370

PS3: 619,388

360: 594,520

Source: VGChartz. Even if the site is not 100% accurate, it DOES give you, usually, a figure that has a 0-15% margin of error.

Why not? Is it the devil?

Is it SO incorrect that it should be completely ignored? To be honest, it's just about as accurate as the NPD. You guys are forgetting that the NPD is not 100% accurate either. Also, for Japanese sales, VGChartz is usually between the two tracking firms for video games there(Famitsu and Media Create). And VGChartz is the only place on earth that has full European sales.

PS3: 95.26
360: 25,630

I should know I counted them all.

Why do people still use VGChartz.

You can use VgChartz for Europe because there is simply nothing else out there for that.

However, using VgChartz for the U.S or Japan is just stupid. It is incredibly inaccurate especially when compared to the NPD or Famitsu.

PS3 got a nice boost there... will it be able to keep it? Probably not, most likely microsoft will lower the 360´s price

P.S. : one of those europeans 360 is mine ;)

Why are you STILL using vgchartz? They have been proven to be wrong by huge margins numerous times. The only thing that is possibly within a 0-15% margin of error is the all time sales of consoles, the only reason being isthey change their numbers when the NPD comes out.

Actually, it's quite the opposite. You can't use their European numbers because those could be waaay off, and we'd never know.

For the US however, they were spot on for November, and they're not "far off" from Famitsu, infact, they just take Famitsu and MC's data and average them.

Ok, just look at those numbers for a second and if you knew that the Wii has a "severe lack of supply" you would know that those numbers are way off. Nintendo is only making 1.8 million or so consoles a month worldwide...

If nintendo was making enough consoles for the demand, I'd almost belive that number.

They are producing 1.8 million a month.

From March-Sept. they were selling 1 million a month.

That's 7 months. They stockpiled 800k per month. 800k x 7 = 5.6 million stockpiled.
