Funny that you said that, the one at my local Wal-Mart was constantly frozen, finally got to play one the other day at an EB (thought it was broke, guess it just really takes that long to load). I've seen/heard people say theirs broke, but that is on msg boards or over XBL, so I wouldn't calleither a reliable source. I don't personally know a single person who owns one sooo.....

Did SONY have to extend the warranty to 3 years because of all the complaints?=NOPE

IMO camparing the PS2's so called faulty hardware to the xbox360 is point less.

The fact Sony did, however, gives testament to the amount of faulty PS2s there were. NO ONE can determine which console was more faulty, so get over yourself. I know you're one of those fanatics who still believes that the PS3 is the only real next-gen console, and that you need a bunch of unmandatory add-ons for the 360, but please, for once,use logic.

Two words you need to notice. The first is "estimate" and the second is "retailers". An estimate, is just that, a guess. And if retailers are saying it, that doesn't mean it's official. For it to be "official" MS would need to report on the failure rate. Also note that I'm not arguing with you about the 33% failure rate, and only challenging your sources.
