Has anyone here played Jade Empire? 9.9 Ign??

No. Jade Empire is a good game but has a number of flaws. It's definitely worth playing, but not 9.9 good.PBSnipes

Bingo. Jade Empire is definitely a great game, but a 9.9 is overrating it.

You got a great deal with those 5 dollars. Enjoy.

The first time I played it I was a dissapointed. But I played it again recently about 6 months ago and found a new appreciation for the game.

It is really good, just not 9.9 good. But for five dollars its a fantastic game. 360 BC has a lot of games like that for five-ten dollars. For that price you wont be dissapointed.

I think the two storys are both entertaining, but I prefer the Jade Empire setting a lot more.

it really comes down to personal preferrence for settings, some people preferre the space theme, some people preferre something different

this is one of the reasons why i don't look at IGN reviews.

JE is a good game, but it's not 9.9 good. the game felt more like a mid AA game. IMO battle system was better, but story wise it wasnt as good as KOTOR 1.

The thing that annoys me is that the Jade Empire setting was not fully exploited in the first game, and we have not had any other RPG's with a similar setting yet.

Either a fantasy setting that is very western, or space rpg's. I like both. But it was awsome getting an RPG with a setting like some of those great eastern flicks like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Hero.

Although I thought I read a rumor recently that a Jade Empire sequal was in the works. But I doubt it. I hope so, though.

Jade Empire was a good game, the combat was lame but the storyline was pretty sweet if I remembered correctly

I just got it in from amazon brand new for like 5 bucks and i saw that ign gave it a 9.9 saying its one of the best wrpgs ever created. Does anyone agree?dabigsiebowski
