I've gone through 2 Xbox360s. I'm still on my original PS3. If you're trying to prove a point, everyone knows it already. The PS3 is better than the Xbox360 in terms of reliability. That doesn't mean it's the better console however.

I see a problem with your logic. I too have a launch 360 and it still works fine. Why is it the majority of the 360 owners never have a problem but the ones that have them brake are on their 3rd and 4th ones? Maybe they don't know how to take care of their things. Same thing could be said about last gen, I had my PS2 for 5yrs and it still worked till I sold it and got the PS3.
The 360 has sold 5x as many units as the PS3 and has been out for a year longer. That there would be a greater number of faulty 360s than PS3s at this point does not require a statistics expert to discern. Apples to oranges really.
nope. both me and my friend are on our 2nd 360 while my First PS3 works fine. even more than one year after launch Microsoft still cannot manufacture a system with reliable hardware.
I'll just claim mine on insurance and buy a new elite one if it breaks down in the future, a warranty means nothing when you can simply bypass it buy a new one and then get another 2yr warranty.

Wow, Im on my 3rd 360 and it still gets more love then my PS3. Had great customer service from MS when the 360 broke too. That's loyalty. :) I'm on my 3rd as well (both free replacements via Best Buy warranty) but I prefer the PS3. No experience with MS customer support but the Best Buy warranty gets two thumbs up!
