i have been wunderin this for a long time. Peple have been sayin that the amount of ramm is holdin back the ps3. well im sorry to tell you this but 50 GB of memory on da ps3 blu way disk is way more memory that any amount of Kingston Hyperx memory. so dat shouldnt be a problem. also the ps3 has has the cell wich is 8 cores with is more cores than intel i7 six core processer so the cell is more greater and powerfull than it. also ps3 can be hooked up to an HD monitor like the PC so has just as much pixels as a FULL flegded gaming pc. so im thinking that the ps3 is ATLEAST on par with the gaming PC if not better if hooked up via hdmi through a 50 inch FULL 1080p tv which is better becuase the pixels are bigger giving the ps3 a slight graphic advantage compared to a PC

Also is it too late in this generation to get a ps3 slim. I have $500 and im deciding between a ps3 slim or a baseline gaming PC? if i get the slim ill have enough money to get extra games too sooo?..

On par with a gaming PC hahahahahaha......not even close. Stack up 15 PS3s and make them work in unison and maybe you might have a chance, just maybe.

My computer alone will soon be 42 times more powerful than a PS3.

by that logic my Pc gpu can do 2 fps per shader processor and since I have 336 cores on my gpu it can do 672 fps plus another 2 fps per core on my cpu so thats another 60 fps :P ......so my system can do 732 fps

look at UC2/UC3, no difference at all, except tiny bit different art style (UC2 is more cartoony and imo, looks better)

My AMD Radeon 7950 OC has 1792 stream processor cores and it has X86 CPU IP i.e. it has X86 memory operations.

Also, define "full potential". Cell probably couldn't handle Arma 2's complex AI and hundreds of units on a map while a decent quad core PC CPU can.

But to answer your question - we'll see what it can really do in Last Guardian (if it ever get released).
