I just checked on scores, and the Vita has two AAA titles for 2012 - 3DS has none. I recognise score isn't the ultimate definer for GOTY material, but it sure helps. The way I see it, competition is limited to the following: AAA Persona 4 Golden (Vita) Sound Shapes (Vita) AA Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (3DS / Vita) LittleBigPlanet (Vita) Kid Icarus (3DS) Professor Layton (3DS) Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS) Yes, there are more AAs, but I see those as the only ones GS will consider. Also, inb4 "NO GAEMS," sales talk, etc. I'm talking about quality here. Thoughts? Have I forgotten anything?
LBP is amazing on the vita, gravity rush is my handheld game of the year, even if it didn't score well (on this site)Totalgym9000
There are alot of solid games that don't score well on this site. PS All Stars being one of them. 6.5 is an absolutely asinine score when garbage like Dance Central is a whole letter grade better.

I agree.... this site is always underatting a lot of games...espcially handheld games. They did it all the time on the psp. and they are doing it agian on the vita...Gravity Rush should of scored way higher than it did... I could name dozens of games that scored low here but were great games. As for Handheld GOTY... Persona 4... by far, followed by Gravity Rush and LBP (and for honorable mentions, Need for Speed most wanted and ragnorok odyessy for me anyway).

I've been playing P4 on my PS2 and will be getting P4G soon but I would still give it to Revelations. A completely original Resi game that brought back some of what made Resi such a great series.

Thats why Vita has 2 AAA games and 3DS doesn't right? And multiple 3DS games have gotten mostly AAA scores everywhere while they get 8.5d here.

It's more likely that you just have a very huge bias for Playstation products.
It's not as if they haven't reviewed plenty of PSP, and PSVita games well.
was chrono trigger considered when it came out for the ds? i dont think so... ports are ports, i played p4 years ago ,great game but not new,revelations on the other hand deserves handheld goty
I'd think so with both Persona 4 and Little Big Planet. Also isn't it kind of ironic that the system with absolutely no games also has two of the highest rated games released on handhelds this year?

Persona 4 Golden is astounding on the Vita. The Vita's screen makes this game look goregous. Plus the addition of many new gameplay elements and you got yourself the best handheld RPG of the year (even though it's a port).

It balances out considering Gamespot hates everything else Nintendo.
Only the delusional would deny it.
