Have a feeling Mass Effect gonna get a 9.5

That would be awesome, but I'm getting it either way.

Bioshock didn't have a Multiplayer component.

And on a scale Mass Effect will be longer than Bioshock.

while thats probably true in theory....we did just get 2 9.5 games in the span of just a few days.

i'm hyping it AAA, but yeah, it's bioware, they have a track record of making great RPGs (i know, i know, jade empire was their first in house franchise and it wasn't AAA) and all the videos i've seen are simply amazingmwa

Jade Empire wasnt AAA here, but it was deffinately a AAA game. Just check out the ign review.

I know a little bit of the universe of mass effect, and the story behind it (wikipedia mainly, which is surprisingly thorough in laying it all out), and I'm still not all that impressed. It just doesn't hit me. Also, the environments seem cramped, and the conversation mechanic unnecessary and therefore uninteresting.

Your one in a thousand. Everything ive seen from mass effect looks amazing, however i know what you mean. I played through gears and didn't enjoy too much. I personally blame RS6V :D.

imo gameplay looks great, with tactical team management, different options for your weapons and the power you can use. plus, i just love space operas, and the fact that you can do a free form exploration of an entire galaxy just seals the deal for me.

Everyone seems to think that BioShock=Greatest game ever and that since it got a 9.0 anything that gets higher is bias and BS.

The lack of a death penalty IMO is enough for it to not get a 9.5.

Gran Turismo is always bashed because its more of a bumper car simulator and basically encourages bad driving since no penalty is given. Lemmings always used to bring that up. BioShock basically encourages you to just stand out in the open and do whatever you please.

My little brother who is 7 was able to defeat a Big Daddy. Is that rewarding of a 9.5? Oh yeah, he died like 12 or 13 times but eventually did it since he kept spawning at a Vita Chamber maybe 5 feet from the Big Daddy. The game was FAR too easy and did not deserve a 9,5.

Get over it already.

Naw! I se Mass Effect getting 8.5-9. I am so pumped for this game, but I think it will take a very special game(Halo 3) to get that type of score. Dont get me wrong here, I think M.E. will be awesome, but somehow I dont see two 360 games getting a 9.5 which Imo is the new 10!!kungfuchaos

i felt the score gs gave was accurate. i dont agree the 9.9 score they gave for JE at ign. IMO je is a high AA game.

why are you getting an elite?

well i'm nervous about RRoD. hasn't happened yet but i really don't want to go through that so i've been planning to get a new 360 for a while (waiting for the 65 nm chipsets). i figured i might as well get an elite with the bigger HD and go all out on XBL with the movies and TV shows in addition to XBLA and DLC.

plus, halo 3 all but confirmed to me that the bigger HD would be a good investment, considering the fact that you'll be able to save replays from singleplayer and multiplayer, and i plan on doing some crazy stuff with my friends in forge and posting up the clips.

oh yeah, and i like black 8)

Its a 9.5 for sure. I think Bioshock actually only deserved 9.0, 9.5 by the now lower than xbox 360 pc standards. Yes I said it, the xbox 360 shooters are ahead of the pc ones (Gears, Halo 3)... for now.kevy619
