Have People Forgot That There's Still Ps2 Games In 2008 Production?

Yet cant understand how some people remark that Sony doesnt support us blah blah. If I'm certain there's still a PS2 tab on Gamespot if you look up between the PS3 and PSP tab it's clearly there. If all companies can keep this attitude evrybody can be a happy customer because it seem a bit unfair for Microsoft and Nintendo to totally desert their previous user base and force customers to upgrade for sastifaction. Feel free to comment.

I don't see anything particularily interesting coming out for the PS2 in 2008.

Perhaps an economics course is in order.

Lesson 1: Sony doesn't support thePS2......... the consumers do with their wallet. If suddenly it stopped selling, Sony would stop production on the PS2. That was the case with both the Xbox and GC. Its called supply and demand.

Lesson 2: There are no first party PS2 games in production. All of Sony's top studios are not producing PS3 games. The PS2 is left behind like a bad habit. Its nothing but a few 3rd party publishers producing some games because they believe they can profit from the PS2.

Lesson 3: The PS3 will only be in production until demand falls off sharply. Whether thats 4 years down the line or 6..... it doesn't matter. The same goes for the X360 and Wii. Sony can claim to support the PS3 for 10 years but reality is...... its only good as long as it sells.

Karaoke Revolution, Twisted Metal, Rachet and Clank Size Matters, Mercenaries 2, Sega Superstars Tennis, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3, Winning Eleven, Major League Baskeball 2k8, Singstar, Destroy all Humans, MLB 08 the show. It may not be the best of the best but for support that's pretty impressive for those who invested in PS2.OoSuperMarioO

To say the system is still supported is a misconception. You're trying to trick a clueless person into thinking PS2 still has a consistent flow of games like it did prior to 2006.

That is in fact a lie. Although software is still being produced everyone who knows anything about gaming can tell the system is pretty much dead on the software front, and SONY has turned all attention to its next gen counter part.

They are potential sales that could have gone to the ps3.

The ps3 is doing alright but it could do better.
