Not really...I always played a lot of games. I remember last gen, people would call me out and ask if I ever played "X game" or "Y Game" with questions. I used to take pictures and post them back then, as I got tired of the complaints.
So, this gen it's been nice since I don't get harassed nearly as much.
The only other difference is my buddies used to compete per game (Who beat Halo on Legendary looking at Saves, Metal Gear Solid on Big Boss, beat the Ruby Weapons in FF7, beat Zelda the fastest, etc.), and now we just compete with Trophies/Achievements as the measuring tool.
I know for instance in Castlevania :Symphony of the Night (One of the GREATEST GAMES EVER MADE, best Castlevania by far) when I got 200 Gamerscore on the XBLA re-release, I still played it since there was SO MUCH to do. In Legend of Legaia- on PSONe, I remember leveling up and grinding to 99 to get the extra powers, or in Chrono Trigger on SNES getting as many endings as possible, or in modern day games I will do "Achievement/Trophy worthy" things in GAME that don't get me achieves just to see what the game and engine can really do. In fighting games I love mastering every possible moveset every character can do, etc.
I don't know how many glitches/bugs/crashed I've caused because of this lol, too many to count. I am an uber completionist if I like the game.
