Have you ever listened to people talk about games cause I find it hilarious :)

OK Im in math class today watching the clock cause the lesson was done and to of my friends who barely if any play games talk about games heres how it went

friend1=f1

friend 2=f2

conversation starts out about jordans but he then said

f1: naw Im gonna miss out on the 2+21's countdown cause Im saving up for a PS3

f2: why get a 360 instead its much better

ME I keep out to see hwo this goes

F2: the ps3 sucks load times are slow and grfx are not worth the moeny

f1: but it connects to my psp(psp fanboy)

f2: So........ it has alot more games and goes on the internet(I LOLOLOL :D )

f1: but the PS3 does to and I heard the 360 breaks down on people

f2: thats only if you play it all the time and traet it badly like keep it in a bad area

f1: but I heard of blu-ray and I love music plus you can use it as a computer

f2: the 360 can do blu-ray AND hd-dvd all you have to do is put the disc in the tray(I try hard not to say anything andkeep the laughs queit BIG GRIN)

the computer part is slow any

f1: yeah but I love my sony stuff

f2: so the PS3 is getting anymore games after GTA4

F1: word

F2: yeah Their barely making gaems on it so all the MGS's and FF's are going to the 360.

F1: really what about the Wii

F2: No body buys are cares about the Wii

I didnt get in the conves at all just listened

He got some things partly right the 360 does do blu-ray(rumored for march) and hd-dvd(if you get the external ldrive like I did*sigh* )

The computer part is slow 256mbs for the LOSE

The 360 failure rate with the new ones I think was 16% but 33% for the old ones

I love these converstations easedropping on things liike this and about other things then games too makes boredom go away greatly

Oh and about the computer why do you have a problem with Linux? it actually runs fast on a playstation 3 i have it installed on mine so if you dont know what your talking about keep your mouth shut.

I had 3 sony fanboys tell me that Sony owned all of Bluray, and it was the be-all and end-all choice for buying the PS3 over 360 and Wii.

Also heard people tell one another than Xbox 360 has a built in Blu-ray too!! It comes with it. And the PS3 has HD-DVD

Than there was a guy who keept on telling the other that a 500GB Xbox 360 just came out.

Also heard dudes say That you can play all games on the 360 you just need to buy add on drives for it. Probably that was the most extreem. Imagine...Wii dirve, PS3 drive for the 360 :D:D

Yeah I have broad audience friends as well.

Rather than listen in I tend to full on debate. In fact we had to do group discussions in college and that is what ours was about. A few people just stated facts to pass, while a few others like me used opinion, and percieved truth with some witty sarcasm as well.

Some guy said the PS3 is worth £200 more. I says it COSTS 200 more, but it isn't worth 200 more. Obviously I didn't genuinly try to throw a sarcastic opinion in there as i also wanted to pass but it sparked some rivalry and gave me a few laughs.

Most of the time it's just people using the "Just wait", and "ps3 will be just better" "gta will be on 360/better on 360". Although I do have other friends who I debate with who seem to keep an eye on the industry as well, we just end up disagreeing.

They are just misinformed thats all...if i had a conversation about cars with a friend and an mechanic overheard he would probably have a laugh at me! They havnt done anything wrong thats all iam saying.daytona_178

Yeah I know what you mean. I used to work for EBGames (such a great job, but pay was $5.15/hour!!!). There were so many uninformed customers. But that's why I was an employee there, to help them out and give them correct info.

Thankfully the guys I worked with were all really open minded and fair. Except for one girl, who knew just about nothing about games outside of the fact that you play them.

I go often to preoder and to buy stuff or just to look around. I work in the mall so when I'm bored I go for a "walk" :D

I think the tip-off should have been your "friends" were talking about shoes in a math class. I thought shoe-based discussions only existed in chick-flicks and TV shows like Sex in the City.

I always find it funny to listento the conversations the clerks have. There's only been one gamespot where the guy actually seemed kind of knowledgable. And I constantly see parents come in and try to figure out which game they were supposed to get. I've handed a case to at least one parent. I knwo it's not my job, but I hated getting a crap game when I was a kid. You can't be upset cause it was a free game, but it wasn't what you wanted.

Anyway, the most ridiculous conversation was when a guy came in talking about how good he was at Halo and how he'd beat all the clerks. The clerk asked him what sensitivity he used and the guy was totally oblivious to the fact that he could change it.

I think the tip-off should have been your "friends" were talking about shoes in a math class. I thought shoe-based discussions only existed in chick-flicks and TV shows like Sex in the City.
