Haze looks like rubbish

Seriously, this game just rubs me the wrong way...the bad story (some drug called necta, making u all hazy...WTF is that?) overall looks of the characters are just a cheap Halo-wannabe...the gameplay looks nothing special or fun at all, IMO. A now that its exclusive to the PS3, the sixaxis will make it play 10 times worse. The only thing good i suppose would be the visuals with some nice levels and what not, but besides that...ALL FLOP with nothing TOP.

And the name HAZE....why not just call it HALO. :lol:

I predict a 7.5 - 8.0 rating from gamespot..if not lower.

did you see the new videos of haze? Even the graphics suck now too. There is a part in this video where it looks like they pulled a wall texture from goldeneye

Well, everyone wants to create the next best thing, that's a nobrainer.

They could have just barrowed the idea of armored suits from the modern day military.

Besides the first two letter, the words Haze and Halo have hardly anything in common.

Again, the military used to test drugs on soldiers or maybe still is, either way, it's not that hard to believe, use your imagination a little bit.

the drug is a really interesting and innovative feature. I don't think they've brought it to its full potential but it's still a great idea. Why are you so antagonistic to it?

im not so hyped up about this game, there are more impotant games to think about right now.

First of all Halo being great is a matter of opinion and second of all not all devs wanna overthrow halo they just want to make a fun FPS that make $.

I never played any of Free Radical's games but depending on the reviews here, I could either buy it or rent it. I am somewhat interested in the title and I will only judge it until I play Haze. :)

And I don't understand. How is it a Halo-wanabee? The whole point of Nectar is to give you more power like strength, thermal vision, and etc and using too much will make you go nuts. It gives the player some tactics so he/she can avoid using it throughout the game constantly.

It's funny that this game only showed up on the cows radars once it was made a PS3 exclusive. This game is one of the most generic FPS titles i've ever seen. Hell, I feel like i've played it already. This game does not deserve any hype AT ALL, and the cows are only setting themselves up for yet another flop by talking it up.

I agree with you. I support Sony and all but I just don't see it with Haze. First off the story is lame, the gameplay looks rather genaric, and the graphics are crap. Yes I said it, the graphics are crap. The engine look 2 years old at least. Sprites for all of the grass? You have got to be kidding me.

The textures are also crap and the enviroments lack color. The game just is ugly. I am sorry, but Haze will be a flop.

I think you're confusing this graphics talk to mean that graphics are the only thing that matters. This is not the case. Graphics are a piece of the pie but when you fork over a couple hundred for a "next gen" console, you want good graphics for your games. This doesn't mean gameplay doesn't matter; if anything gameplay is still the most important thing. Still, with "next gen" hardware people want great graphics to accompany the gameplay.

Halo 3 is an overhyped game. I still till this day find nothing "great" about it Halo 1,2 and the upcoming 3. Before you scream FANBOY I want to let you know I was hyped for the first Halo I wanted it so bad. Once I played it utter dissapointment.

It looks cool to me....you never know.. the story and game-play might be good..you can never tell how the game is going to be by watching the previews..you have to play it first...look at lair the videos look epic and fun but so far everyone is saying it sucks.( i cant say that it sucks because i haven't played it)
