how much are they? was thinking 400 vs 480 elite.. i heard they where expensive for Tvs and stuff but i never look into it. anyone know how much it will run you in a store to buy does cable?
Some people will tell you to buy $100 monster HDMI cables. Those people are fools. In fact, they are the type of people who think Bose is great sound equipment.  Your best bet is to go with $8 cables from Monoprice.com.  They the most recommended cable at AVS. People with sound equipment valued in $1,000's of dollars trust it to those $8 cables. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for the 360 and PS3.
Buying an HDMI cable through retail is idiotic. Whatever you do, don't spend more than $25 on an HDMI cable ever. You'll be charged more for length of the cable, so the cheaper the better.

Supposedly the different metals (which they charge you more for) can transport a much clearer sound and picture signal, but it's all hype. Any difference you would notice is insignificant to minimal.
As it was mentioned before, Monoprice.com has some excellent cables in the sub-30 range. I bought mine there for around $22 and it's ten feet in length, plenty long for where I have it. In retrospect, 3-5 feet would have been preferrable.

HDMI cables are virtually the same. The 15.00 ones from monoPrice do the job well. Dont get suckered into thinking that you have to pay 50-100.00 for them.
I got the official sony ones for $60, but you can get good was for as cheap as $15-$40... Sony has to make money somewhere, just like xbox360 and it's rediculous $100 20GB HDD...
You can get hdmi cables for $20 and free shipping at the apple store website just go to accessories and you'll find em they are good quality and 6ft long i beleive..
