HDTV. What's the point of buying the most powerful system of the three if you can't enjoy the nextgenness of it?
As far as recommendations, I got the TV that MLG uses for their 360 tournaments - it's a 20 inch Envision with a 8ms response time. It's on par as far as ghosting goes with my roommates' VX922 2ms LCD monitor. We've hooked them up and he can't tell the difference, and he's pretty hardcore about that stuff.
I recently picked up a LG 20LS7D from Circuit City for $350 for one of my bedrooms for when I dont wanna play my consoles in the basement and its amazing. It picks up off the air HD signals for local channels, and both the 360 and PS3 look great on it.
Also, If you're looking for a cheap HDTV, check out the Vizio brand. If 20" is enough for you, you can get a 20" refurbished Vizio from tigerdirect.com for $260. Ive seen them at costco, and the picture is nice, and from what Ive read its a decent tv.
Go for the HDTV if your in the UK check out the following link:

Im not sure why people say dont get cheap HDTV's because most of them are paying £1000 forHDTV with the same specs as this one only for the brand. I have compared it to a couple of others:
My cousins LG 32" cos t him £1300 and looks as good as this one
My annoying rich freinds TV SHARP 42" looks almost Identical its just bigger
Now remeber HD = higher Resolution
PC TFT monitors do more than 720p and you can buy a 19" for £80 but a 19" LCD will cost you twice as much, IMO big companies are exploiting people that have no idea about the technology and are buying the TV for the "sony" brand.
[QUOTE="Zerostatic0"]You have a 360 and no HDTV? I don't understand why anyone would do that. Anyways go and get a HDTV. ramey70
Why? The 360 and PS3 both look great in 480i and last I checked the game inside the machine still plays.
No, 360 and PS3 games on a 480i TV set do not look great. You only display 1/3rd of the pixels output by the 360 on an SD TV (i.e. (640x480)/(1280x720)=33.3%)). You display even less of the pixels from a PS3. Think about that for a sec. You're losing 66.6% of the pixels. That's a lot of loss clarity, sharpness, and detail. Might as well stick with the last gen consoles with their superior libraries or get a Wii if you don't have an HDTV or a Computer monitor that you can use to play 360/PS3 games. Please Log In to post.
