Heavenly Sword has gotten mixed reviews, but the one that I trust the most is IGN, even more than Gamespot sometimes. and they gave it 7 out of 10 with arguments that will be really bad for Gamespot reviews, like lasting appeal and repetitive which is really big minuses.
I was shocked when I saw AAA looks like the cow's are going to have another flop on their hands but not Lair sized I would say RFOM sized :wink:cyprus646

How convenient for you to trust the one who gave it the lowest score. Devil May Cry was the shortest game I had ever played, and yet it was AAA.
I hyped it an 8.0 although I fully realise that it could easily score lower. I am still going to play it personally because it got enough good reviews and I am interested in playing it.
well i played the demo at gamestop this past Sunday and i loved it........ and i'm a x360 owner but i truely enjoyed the game. the controlls were great. when(IF) i do get a PS3 i will buy this game. i hope the game does score and sellswe(I) need more games like this. thx:) norm
If people say they would rather have HS than Halo 3 (many cows do) then they are saying it is the answer to a AAA 360 game, and if it gets much lower, it is a flop.
I never hyped it for it's gameplay after seeing videos, however I did like the dramatic proformances by the actors in the game. And for that alone I said I'd give the game a try. Essencially for me any action/slasher game like this that dosen't have silky smooth gameplay and fluid movemnts is a bust. HS gameplay dosen't really seem well connected from what I can see.
on the flip side the story side of the game dose seem to be very cool, something most other action/slasher type games are sorely missing.
The problem that I see with HS is that unlike the God of War series, HS isnt an epic adventure with button combo combat. HS is an action game with fights based in arena/platform areas with many, many enemies at once! It is apparently very linear and gets old quick. I would be shocked if GS scored HS higher than a 7! Visuals only get you so far!!!
