Even if they are held off until june-july, these games, if the time is taken to get right & at least AA-AAA, they will shift another 2million PS3's.
By the time they release PS3 should be at 6million
That sounds about right. I suppose they're using them to counter Mass Effect.

I dont think Mass Effect will be out in May.. You may be thinking "Well how do you know mister Crystal ball?".
Well the fact they have not even announced when the release date will be. Plus when they do give a release date or a "guess". The game is pushed back atleast once from what I remember.
My guess from the new screens we have seen they still need to work on some of the armor textures and the like. So we could be looking at a August or September release.
I still don't have much faith in Lair. Tell me one game or movie featuring dragons that has been hugely successful? I can't think of any that generated tons of success.musicalmac
The Panzer Dragoon series.
Panzer Dragoon:- GS unrated, but press average of 9.1 and user average of 8.7
Panzer Dragoon Saga:- GS 9.2, UA 9.4, PA 9.3
Panzer Dragoon Orta:- GS 9.0, UA 8.8, PA 9.0
True, other than that series, there haven't been any massively successful dragon-based games that come to mind, at least for me. But if you've watched the interview with the president of Factor 5, he gives credit to Panzer Dragoon, and says that it's one of their biggest inspirations. Pretty good source to develop ideas from, if you ask me.
I'm personally looking forward to this game the most on PS3 at the moment, I have a nagging feeling that I'll find HS unsatisfying, like I did GoW (not that it was a bad game or anything, I just found it a bit shallow for my tastes).

Yes, I tried to be careful with my words. I knew the Panzer Dragoon series was good, but that was about it. Can you think of a single movie featuring dragons that was very successful, or that got good reviews? This is why caution should be taken with Lair.Yes, I tried to be careful with my words. Yeah, you make a good point. There's been a lot of mediocre or just plain bad dragon-based entertainment around (Eragon movie and game most recently come to mind), but there's also the optimistic way of looking at things. This could possibly be one of the first big-name, high-selling dragon games. Of course, that could be seen as naive, but I'm going to take that risk here because Factor 5 have made some pretty excellent games in the past (I loved the Turrican series, and I think they did Rogue Squadron).

I, of course, hope for the best. We'll just have to wait and see! Please Log In to post.
