Heavy Rain demo confirmed

If anyone is on the fence about Heavy Rain, both from a gameplay and story perspective, then they can get a small taste of the game as Sony has announced a demo will be released prior to the game's release. Both reps from SCEA and SCEE have confirmed the demo for their respective territories and have said details on the exact contents of the demo will be announced shortly.

Aside from having a very mature story covering a variety of themes the one thing that may be a problem for those who play Heavy Rain is its unique controls and QTEs. If Sony and developer Quantic Dream can pick a relatively easy section of the game to show off then I expect a lot of people to jump aboard the Heavy Rain bandwagon after they get used to things.

I can't imagine a demo doing much to boost people's confidence in the game.

Although I personally LOVED Indigo Prophecy, it took like an hour for the game to actually start being good. It would have to be a pretty long demo to get to that point.

Everything I've seem about this game looks unappealing, especially the QTE. I will give the demo a try, there's always a chance there's more to the game.

Thats good to hear. This is definitely one of those games I'd like to try before I decide on buying it.

awesome, I dont see a demo of htis kinda game being good though, seeing as this is the kinda story that if a piece is snipped out of context will probably just seem confusing and kinda lame...

Should be interesting. As it stands, Heavy Rain simply does not appeal to me. I am leaving the door open for it to impress me, though. We shall see.

Sweet i hope they give a demo along the lines of the conveniant store demo from e3. I must have watched 10 different videos and each one was played out differently. I just hope the entire game can manage to pull that off.
