this is a post by surfer girl! http://softrockhallelujah.blogspot.com/2008/04/you-hear-thunder-of-stampeding-rhinos.html

"Also, I can confirm I was right (as were many others), that PS3 title the BBC journo said was going on about is indeed Heavy Rain. The teaser trailer, which will see release sometime in the next few months, follows the main character from a morning ritual to the frantic reaction to a seeming lacuna in time (the subsequent journey is the game's main plotline) and the explanation of the game's title. The technology is quite impressive, all the characters in the game are aware of the environments and contexts that they are in--it effects how they behave, what they say, how they feel, et cetera--while taking in their personality and personal experiences into account so that a character's behavior is consistent, realistic and varied."

as usual take surfer girl posts with a grain of salt but if true the AI in this game sounds like its groundbreaking! the characters in the game are aware of the environment they are in where they are what they are doing and according to that is how they will respond or react or talk! wow!

Exactly what I was thinking! Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit in Europe) was a groundbreaking game on so many levels. It truly was a highly original new IP that worked wonders when it was released. The same makers are designing Heavy Rain, so I can only hope for another breakthrough in storytelling, immersion and gameplay innovation.

The one reason I am looking forward to this game is due to the amazing things I've heard about Indigo Prophecy. Sadly, I never owned an xbox, therefore I missed out. Thankfuly, Heavy Rain looks very good. In addition, the emotions expressed by the characters could give developers more ways to work with story and meaning in each game.

Indigo Prophecy is an excellent game, and it's also on the PC. It's currently available through Steam for only $9.99.

If you think you have a rig that can run it, I'd strongly recommend it. I don't think the system specs are very taxing at all.

:o No fair, whenever I went to look for it all I could find was the PS2 version which I was very reluctant to buy since my PS2 doesn't work to well. I never saw an Xbox version anywhere.

Very nice, have liked both games that QuanticDream has released. If you liked Indigo Prophecy, you should give Omikron a run as well if you can find it, a little too ambitious, but probably one of the more ground-breaking games for when it was released. Probably wouldn't have the same effect on me now as when it was first released, but it did an excellent job of creating a futuristic city and it had a pretty unique plotline.

That being said, I can't wait for this game to release, it's part of the reason I purchased a PS3. Hope QuanticDream will take their time and release another classic, they're 2 for 2 in my eyes.
