My god! Can we please have a sticky for Heavy Rain again?Shattered007can we have a complaint sticky? why even post here if you have NOTHING to add to the topic? back to the topic for me: seriously, best ps3 game thus far. forget mgs4, that game is a borfest anway
Heavy Rain is indeed a great game. My only complaint was that it ended too soon. :( Still has some replay value though.
Finished it today - yep, it is great. I've never felt so much for my characters. I wanted them to succeed.
KiZZo1
Same. I was so cautious of how I played. It's freaking scary when you can kill off nearly all of the characters well before the end.
I love Heavy Rain! :D
I just got it like.. um either yesterday or the day before.. And I love it so far. I don't like the FBI parts as much as the rest though.
Nah, I'll get GOW III first :D!Indeed. Buy this before GoW3 if you're on a tight budget.

The game is amazing. Out of curiosity, what choices and which ending did everyone get the first time? These are the ones I made (probably forgot a couple):
Completed all Ethan's tasks
Didn't save Lauren
Didn't forgive Madison
Shot Nathaniel
Killed Shelby
Jayden died (which pissed me off)
Saved Kramer
Beat up Troy
Knocked out the robber in Hassan's shop
Escaped arrest in the subway
Got arrested at the motel
Killed Mad Jack
Escaped the fire by climbing out of the window
Failed both attempts at resisting Triptocane
Drank the ex-doctor's drugged drink
Killed the ex-doctor
Of course you will.

Why make a topic when you could have stated your opinion there. What is there to descuss? You tell cows they should buy the game. Then, "That is it" as if you made a public service annoucment.
On topic: Heavy Rain does what it does very well. Unfortunately, none of them are really any good for videogames.
FYI: System Wars is a complaint forum. You should know that, you've been here long enough.

What's that supposed to mean? :(well, the ending got ruined for me by panosola.. its cool tho, i kinda figured thats who the killer was.. im going back to play it again, such an amazing game.. this time ill try and keep everyone alive...i wonder what would happen if i let the killer die early in the game
It is pretty awesome so far. Im pretty close to the end, but it still has alot of room for improvment.
-The voice acting is pretty weak in some scenes
-The game looks great, but its still held back by the limits of this gens hardware. It would be much better on more powerful hardware. The reason i say this is because the game is trying to be like a movie, and some graphical limitations take you out of the experience, or atleast it did for me. I cant wait untill they make a game on the next gen of consoles.
-Wish there was a way for them to elaborate on speach choices and other actions before you take them. In one scene i did a certain action, thinking it would do something else, and ended up getting a character in the game killed when i didnt intend on it.
-Some controls are a little off, mostly the motion controls.
Other then those things, its excellent. They did such a great job on making this look and feel like a movie. The best part of the game is knowing your actions have an effect. If you mess up and die or do something you didnt intend to do there isnt a restart button, the game goes on and you have to live with your decision. I wish more games made your actions feel so meaningful.
rofl he is dead, was because of this?well, the ending got ruined for me by panosola.. its cool tho, i kinda figured thats who the killer was.. im going back to play it again, such an amazing game.. this time ill try and keep everyone alive...i wonder what would happen if i let the killer die early in the game
ultraking
It's more than mind-blowingly awsome.
It's on a completely different level of any video game i've ever played.
sure it gets off to a dull start, but for every dull moment, there is a moment 10x as satisfying.

Here's what happened to me...
Completed all Ethan's trials
Saved Winters
Forgave Paige
Didn't shoot Nathaniel
Jayden lived (no drugs, resisted Triptocane, beat the snot out of Shelby and killed him)
Like mentioned, Shelby got grinded up, but only after I chose to save him and he still tried to beat my ***
Saved the guy who needed the drugs for his heart
Shot the guy who chased me around the apartment with a shotgun, as it was part of Ethan's trial
Let the robber in Hassan's shop go and saved Hassan
Escaped arrest in the subway and hotel (freaking intense)
Let Mad Jack get run over by his own equipment
Paige escaped the fire
Didn't drink, then the doctor knocked Paige out with a bat, and I drilled him in the chest
All 4 "heroes" lived by the end of the game. No suicide, no bad endings. Madison and Ethan got an apartment with Ethan's son. Winters spit on Shelby's grave. Jayden was a hero and on the news (then he saw some computarized tanks pop up on his desk without the glasses on, lol).

Woah, your end fight was completely different to mine.
It ended up with Madison fighting Shelby on top of a crane, then Ethan showed up and shot Shelby in the back and he fell into the sea. Didn't get the option to save him or not.
I'm playing the last few scenes again and trying to do it differently. I've already saved the character that died in my first run, so I'm gonna see how it plays out.

The only way Shelby can die is if you don't save Winters and let Shelby run away at the end. If you let Winters live, then when Shelby escapes, she'll hear the news and shoot him.

Ethan can kill him at the end if he saves Shawn and all the other characters have died or you can let him walk. Also, I'm pretty sure the tank only come up if you use the drug.
LOL at this thread replies. Still waiting for this game to come from HMV. It's annoying that it's taking this long when it was shipped Monday. Oh well, I hope the wait is worth it. It seems to be from most of the replies here.

And what rules are we talking about here? You were the one complaining about why this thread was created, yet you kept coming back again and again to join in the discussion... I've played Fahrenheit (2 times) and over hundred PC adventure games, I still think HR is revolutionary. You can disagree with that all you want, but that's just my opinion...

You're right, I shouldn't reply to people commneting directly to me.:roll:My first post was a suggestion more then a rant and He/She did break a rule or they would not have been moddded. Please don't try and join converstaion you have no idea about.
2. When this thread was posted there were 3 other threads just like it on the top page. I stopped posting in them and posted in this one since it didn't go the way of the doodo. Please explain what makes Heavy Rain so Revolutionary instead of just saying it is.
Also, your opinion=/=my opinion.
rev·o·lu·tion·ar·y (rv-lsh-nr) adj.
2. Marked by or resulting in radical change.
