Help me choose Next Gen Console

there's really no really compelling reason to buy a next gen console this year unless you just want to have it for the sake of having it. unless you really have something you're interested in, I would steer away till you do

I can't believe someone with a 60k gamerscore needs someone else to tell them which console to buy.

i'd get a wiiU...next gen will be ps3/360 ports for 1 more year. get x1 or ps4 next year.

PC if you really REALLY like games

3DS if you like games

Xbox 720 if you somewhat like games

PS4 if you only want to play games every other weekend or so

Wii U if you only want to play games every 6 months

Vita if you hate yourself

Actually they're not the same thing. MS's system is better because of the way they combine everything into a cumulative score. I don't know why, it just is. The other bad thing about PS4 is the 1990's-era controller. Other than that most of the advantages go to Sony this time around. They've designed their console better.

Oh, I don't own a PS3 so am just going by what I've heard but another plus for PS4 is: If ya subscribe to PSN+ ya won't have to buy games. From what I've heard they give so many away, and recent ones too, that what would be the point in buying any? That makes 0 business sense imo but if they're gonna do it then take advantage of it.

Care to explain your criticism? And btw, I went on to compliment Sony for building the better system this time around. When a company does something right I acknowledge it, when they do something wrong I do the same. Doesn't matter which company it is.

It's a tough call.  Personally, gamerscore and friends list I can live without but that's up to you.  Not many of my real world friends play videogames like me, so I can make new virtual friends anywhere.

I think you'll get the largest library from buying the PS4 coupled with your PC, but it's just speculation to claim the PS library will be the best.

The items you have to weigh in that $100 difference are the +/- of PS+ vs. XBL, +/- of timed exclusive DLC, +/- of controller offerings, and +/- of preferred libraries.

PS4, PC and Xbox One is the way to go. Some people argue that's it's not worth owning PS4 and Xbox One just because they're similar and they'll share many of the same games, which makes no sense at all, because they'll still both be great consoles and will have plenty of great exclusives.

On top of that, owning both opens up more opportunities for playing online with your friends, so that issue you mentioned will be covered.

As a PC gamer, get a PS4.

I have been a long time console gamer and newly renewed PC Gamer( smh @ Rome 2 ). This gen ive been mostly Xbox and had PS3 for exclusives. Im having a hard time choosing X1 or PS4. I Have 100$ on my xbox account and Xbox live til dec 2014. Which is one reasons why Im considering X1 plus my 60k Gamerscore and friends on there. I don't care abouyt 100$ cheaper or higher(not rich but I can afford either console) but I don't care about TV functions or NFL/ESPN. I just want a Gaming rig for my TV and surround sound( I don't hook PC to TV ). I want the best gaming EXPERIENCE, not necessarily graphics or more powerful console. I truly don't know how much BS on both sides is going around. I get it. PS4 50% better, Xbox has Cloud. Its all paper specs but it does have me worried. I play a lot of online games too like BF and CoD if I have friends playing with me but I love RPGs as well and single player games. I want to have the best online experience and bang for my buck. If the PS4 is going to look and play better then the X1 in the future then I probably want the PS4. All the media focus on the X1 does worry me and have me teetering. I like the Kinect voice controls but that's about it and frankly im sure my wife doesn't want me yelling at it all the time. I can buy both but I just want to pick one so I don't waste my money. I like all the games PSN+ offers, rental or not because honestly. Most games you play and beat then don't touch again so "renting" is fine with me. Simply put I want the best games and the PS has had the best exclusives. Ive grown past Gears of War and Halo long ago and while Titanfall does look really fun, I don't want a system for one or two games. Id like people to give unbiased opinions about which they feel will overall be the best GAMING console. Please no flamingLanceSSJ

it has dead rising 3 forza 5 ,    - exclusive, 

and it can play music cds ,   ps4 can not do that,  and im sure you can still rip music to hard drive if you like ,    basically you know what your getting into with xbox 1 , w ps4 its a whole new ball game, not many of the games which arent on xbox one look promising , so it depends on whos first party line up your interisted in in the end ,
