help with hardware failure (of course its a 360)

the bottom right quadrant is red. when u turn it on it says code e74 on the screen and ms says that its either the cable failed or an internal failure which sucks cuz the 3 year extended warranty only covers rrod. ms and their half ass solutions to extremely faulty hardware. i hate ms.

this was a reply to a topic on the 360 forums but answers are slow there and a topic on this board means sure answers

go to xbox.com and click on support they explain the problem according to each light. but my long term advice is to get the thing fixed and then get rid of it and get a PS3.

overheat the thing till it gets the 3 red lights

or just say it has them (or has them sometimes.)

PAY ATTENTION TO ME:

Wrap your 360 in towels. Leave it on with a crappy game inside for about 24 hours. GET RROD! FREE REPAIR!!! Then while your 360 is gone, buy a new one, then return it with the 30 day return policy.

yeah, I had my 360 for 18 months then it died last september. I had it totally ventilated and all that bull ****. Oh well, the customer service guy was so cool when I called, lol. He was a cool black dude and he told me about how all the guys at the office were having a Halo 3 launch party. The new 360 is nice though.

It won't void the warranty at all. You don't have to even open up the 360. Just leave it on for awhile and BOOM! red rings!

its over a year old. the 3 year extended warranty only covers the 3 red light failure. (rrod even though its not a ring) my only hope is to red ring it i guess by over heating the hell out of it
