Lets say im going on a trip. For about lets say 2 weeks. Im going to my wife's brother-in-law's for a wedding. There will be nothing to do so I'll bring a game.

But whats this? I can't bring my big gaming pc to play mass effect 2 or (insert multiplatgame here). Looks like im bringing a small portable CONSOLE.

But whats that? i got a gaming LAPTOP? Well surely that is good for me. But aren't those things like???? 200% more priced than a console?

If I'm going on a trip, I'd only bring a handheld or nothing at all.

And if you already have a gaming laptop, then why does it matter if its priced over a console?

When I'm going on a trip or vacation i don't even bring my laptop. I want to take a rest from technology. Relax on the beaches or hike up the mountains. And you know socialize with people.

People lug around their PCs for LAN parties and events like QuakeCon. It's still a pain lugging around a console like it is with a PC. Besides, people usually bring handhelds and laptops when they go away on vacation.

Basically your argument is that consoles are more preferable to you because you do not have the spare money for a decent gaming laptop useful on those long trips unlike some of us? But really.. you bring a console with you on a trip? I think you lost your own argument there when you compared THAT to bringing a laptop, any laptop.

I didn't say i did. I was bringing up a point. Does not mean that it applies to me. I did not subject my personal life into this topic. But if you must know I bring a laptop and a nintendo ds on vacation. So i can surf the web every now and then and play the ds when things get boring or traveling.

So the OP is ignoring the existence of mobile PC cases to create a scenario were he could bring his console games with him; but not PC games? What does this have to do with the thread title, which challenges the idea that a game is on PC and console? Is it not on PC and console; regardless of whether the case is suitable for transport?

There are micro-atx cases out there about as small as a Wii.

Overrated. And lol at the gaming laptop thing. With a laptop you could play the whole way there, the whole time you are there, and the whole way back. With a console you could only play it while you were there.

What is the sense of going on a trip if all your going to do is play games? Save the money and stay home.
