Sorry, I'm 31. When I'm together with my friends, games are the last thing on my mind.

They are called Hermits because it is believed that they do nothing but sit in a dark room on their PC day after day. I think that answers your question.dracula_16

PC gamers do more LAN parties than console gamers..... Infact, PC gamers invented LAN (essentially... although not 100% true)

I love console fanboys =).

Ever heard of a LAN party? A lot better than splitting your screen in 4 places, and yelling at eachother "hey you looked at my screen!".

And honestly, whats with all this "life" bashing, were all on a gaming forum here...

I'm a hermit with friends. Hermit's United meeting. We get together every ten years or so, swap stories about caves, it's good fun!

Guess who I am quoting.

Only idiot PC fanboys think that's how console multiplayer has worked in practice over the past 20 years :p

and only an idiot console fanboy would think all hermits are alone in their basements.... Yay for being hypocritical.

" Never had a PC LAN party? Your loss :p"

Quoting myself from two posts back. My first PC LAN party was playing Duke Nukem 3D eleven years ago. It was far from my last. What's that about a hypocrite? More like not enough of a closeminded jackass to write either experience off. I think I was going nuts on Super Mario Kart 64 around that time... Maybe a bit of Goldeneye too... On the side of CIV II, Warcraft II, and Duke3D.

Split screen is alot less hassle then a LAN party where you have to bring around your computer and all the accessories needed (monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard, etc...).

What about all the times you might be hanging out at a friends house and all of the sudden decide to play a game, unless you carry around a computer with you, your not going to be able to play at the same time as your friends.

ok, do you carry around your laptop and mouse every time you go to your friends house? Anyways dont most people use Desktops for PC gaming, it usually grants the user more power for PC gaming?

Only when I want to play games at their houses.

And I don't know what most people do... I know what I do, and have been doing for over five years now. Getting desktops around is so cumbersome.

Not all gamers are nerds you know.

When I'm with my friends, we dont sit around playing games. We go outside and do things...

And even if I'm with the friends that like games, we'll usually play Co-op on Gears or something.

However, LAN parties with PC's, although hard to organise, are incredibly fun.

True, but my main point was that Split screen is usually more convenient for most occasions, Im pretty sure most can agree with that.

Eh, I won't argue with that... But plenty of XBOX and beyond console gamers know that, when you can swing it, it's better to get multiple TVs/consoles together for a game. PC gamers have been doing that since before I started lanning, and in HD no less.

what is with the stereotypes? I'm a part hermit, and I have lots of friends, and go to lan parties and hang out.
