Hermits make me laugh, LoL!

In light of the new information regarding MGS4 running at less than 30fps at times, I find it pretty funny how Hermits have the nerve to smack talk console lovers. Not too long ago, almost all of the Hermits were talking about how Crysis was hitting framerates around the 20's and even sometimes dipping into the teens when being run on their gaming computers. They talked about how it wasn't a huge deal because the graphics were pretty sweet and that they hardly ever noticed. As soon as Hermits found out about GTA IV or MGS4 hitting frames under 30, they were all over Lemmings and Cows. Seems to me that they seem a bit jealous that they can't play 10/10 epic games on their rigs and need any kind of ammo to use against console lovers. Opinions?

I think hermits just want some attention. No one on these forums consider the pc as part of systemwars except hermits. They can upgrade there hardware when ever thay want, they are not held at the same standards. I personally dont think they should even be a part of the discussion, who else is sick of *console graphics* Treads ,being over run with,* crisis tread/* posts? No one gives a crap lets settle it now the pc is better, it always will be better as long as upgradeable hardware is available. Now hermits just move on and never post here again because frankly noone gives $h*t. Pc only gamers are missing out on more good games than console only gamers, if they own all three. If I really thought pc gaming was so great I would buy one. I have never had the desire to own a rig.

And your link matters how? Looks like a bunch of hermits posting to me. I dont have anything against hermits, Im all for gaming, it just dosent belong being directly compared to console gaming. If the 360 or ps3 could have upgradeable ram every year that would be a different story, What is so hard about understanding that?

Its amazing that with the painted on textures in MGS4 that it can't maintain a steady frame rate.

Look Hermits were bragging about being able to run Crysis at 30FPS which is well under the norm of the Hermits 60FPS which Hermits use to their advantage.

Essentially Hermits play at 60FPS while saying that console owners play First Person Shooters at 30FPS. But when people were playing Crysis at 30FPS then it was kind of hypocritical that Hermits were playing at 30FPS which is what they mocked.

I don't know where you are getting less then 30FPS from. Those comments only came from Hermits maxing the settings and seeing how fast the game would run.

This thread just reeks of desperation. At least be accurate.

Plenty of games have scored 9.5 and 9.6 this generation. Just cuz you PS3 has way low standards and gets a game that scores .4 to .5 higher than many games on the Wii and 360 you go crazy... butr I guess I would too if all my games were AA.

Oh and get your eyes checked.

MGS4 looks about the same as GRAW, with somewhat better character models for minor NPCs and a lot better models for primary characters.

You're argument is completely flawed because you obviously don't even understand basic concepts of PC hardware and software.

I would actually be extremely pissed if Crysis came out and could run absolute max settings at 60fps+ on the latest hardware. That would mean the game is not pushing limits. Hardware developement is pretty linear and it would just be stupid to limit a games settings based on what is currently out. As long as it can run at a decent resolution at a decent framerate on mid-range cards everything is perfectly normal and fine.

I have to give to Konami they sure do a good job of painting on shadows and textures. Where is the bump mapping and normal mapping, jeez the PS3 must really be struggling.

It would look better ond PC and Xbox 360 with its superior memory and gpu capablities.

Maybe it will come out on PC in a few months.

Actually, its you missing the point. When crysis came out and trashed all of our PCs, you consolites laughed like he** about it and poked fun at hermits about it every chance you got. SO now we are just pointing out your hypocrisy in claiming "slower than 30fps doesn't matter, just play the game" now when your console is struggling with your Idol, MGS4.

After two long years of waiting and hiding in the shadows, they have finally gotten themselves a good game, now they're swarming System Wars with pointless PC/X360 bashing. You can't play one game forever :)

Prove to me that MGS4 is a fantastic looking game even though its not true HD. Factually prove it to me without giving me your opinion. Go on ahead and try. You can't factually prove that a game is good looking because in the end its all the person who is viewing that game's opinion.

This is why you see so many graphical debates on X game looks better then Y game ect.

Seriously Hermits are the worst fanboys.... I've said in the past that Cows are, but I've had a change of heart.... Hermits are by far the worst....

... I don't think I could ever fulfill my gaming needs just by playing PC games...... The only games on PC that I like are the odd MMO & RTS's..... of course they have plenty of FPS's too, but to be honest I'd rather play FPS's on my 360 nowadays (Duke Nukem FOrever being the exception to the rule, when it arrives I mean)... sure it's not as pretty, but I find Live to be so much more accessible, and less of a headache for online play....

.... in the past with PC shooters, while trying to play online, either I can't join a game.... because everybody has a slightly different version than you.... or different mods that won't allow you in the game... or its just really laggy...

the only problem I have with Live is a bit of lag.... and that only shows up in about 2% of my matches.
