Rather then making it free, I believe Microsoft may release a feature similar to this one.project343I think just making it free would be better. even if they do make xbl similar to home, it will like "we're playing catch up, and making you pay."

for free? lol :P j/k we both know that won't happen. But maybe now MS will actually try to make XBL WORHT the money?
Microsoft would do well to make their online free. I might even consider picking one up if they did that. As long as it's Pay to Play I will never own one.KeyWiithats one of the things keeping me off too. Until this home announcment I was on a one way ticket to the wii based on price alone. I've decided i'm gonna wait a little longer and see what happens to the prices of all the systems (and their online services).
Rather then making it free, I believe Microsoft may release a feature similar to this one.project343I'd really rather they didn't. Focus on adding content to XBL as it is, and on supporting and producing great games like Mass Effect, Gears of War and Halo 3.

There's no denying that Microsoft is the software company this gen. So, there's your answer right there. More great games and content. Second Life is not really a game and neither is PSH. How will they regulate this evironment to be safe for the kids (or anyone for that matter)? Hopefully pics of naked parts and pervert fantasies won't become the norm. Xbox Live is a great service for GAMES. Sony may have forgoten that.dlind70Microsoft is a software company but there are different types of software, and Microsoft first and foremost is not a game studio. Otherwise why is Sony's internal development studio's larger than Microsoft's and Nintendo's combined? Microsoft has some excellent software engineers, for sure. But that doesn't translate into more games & better games for the X360, sorry.
[QUOTE="TrueReligion_"]I'd rather have dedicated servers than a free service. jack_russelI'd rather have it free Everyone sides with free ;)
