Cry "WHY" to the might MS gods and wonder what ever happened to the great and awsome HD-DVD ...
No Really thats what I would do...
Insect sacasum two lines up..
Wasn't Microsoft working on their own competitor to Blu-Ray? I honestly doubt Microsoft would pay their competitor just to get more disc space that won't even be used.stappyyou honestly believe more space won't be needed for the nest gen of games.
I would smile in content, knowing that for every game or movie the '720' sold, Sony would get some of the profit, since they made the format. Pwned.Solid_Snake24k
Do you truly think that way or are you just messing around? Why would you care if MS had to pay Sony anything unless you actually owned Sony stock?! This really boggles my mind.
Anyways, didn't original Blu-Ray players require Microsoft's VC-1 codecs meaning that Sony was actually paying Microsoft for the ability to use their software. This might have changed since but I believe that was the case early on. Either way, who cares?!

then in that case you can have 3+ disc based games, plus blu-ray speed will pick up so you wont have to install every game. I guess everybody wins:D
