it would appear this calls for a celebration of some kind.

MLP: fighting is magic is to be given full registered IP status by hasbro and will recieve funding to remain going. thats right MLP; fighting is magic will become a fully licesnced game and is back on track HOWEVER their will be a completely new cast of chaarcters. way to kick out folks

My Little Pony, it became popular for no apparent reason a few years ago and the internet hasn't shut the f*ck up about it since.

Misleading OP is misleading. Only the character designer of the original MLP series is on board with the project, and Hasbro's cease and desist letter still stands.

You are surprisingly well informed.

I was surprised at this news because I remember Hasbro issuing C&D letter to the dev. If Hasbro truly did endorse the project, I thought this is beyond some mere ponies, but a whole new turn in the world of fan-based projects concerning existing IPs. If this was to set the precedent, other fan-based project in future that has a genuinely amazing and ambitious ideas may get fully endorsed too. I still remember SE shutting down the Chrono Trigger fan-based remake project to have it not interfere with their rather lazy port of the game on DS and iOS. So I did some digging to whether this is actually true. But sadly, the TC had bad reading comprehension skill and tricked us all.
