Hey yo, System Wars whats that game you just despise?

The King is feeling like stating the obvious, but let us all be honest. Here at System Wars we work our best when we're just being a bunch of glorified haters. It's what we're good at. Sure we through some high praise at plenty of games(and everyone that hates Bayonetta has awful taste, and has crappy opinion on videogames, true story), but the threads that get the most buzz is the Hate. THe Halo sucks, the Grand Theft Auto is overrated, The Modern Warfare killed my kitten threads.

So I ask you system wars don't hold back in this thread. Share your opinion(no matter how god awful your opinion is), share your thoughts(no matter how crappy the thought), and share your absolute disgust for a game you believe is nothing more than filth(no matter how wrong you are about that game).

Some of you are saying "but Your Majesty I'm actually not good at hating on a game with some serious venom :( ". Well let me give you a nice templete for how it works, and then you try on something like I don't know Half Life 2 or something.

For instance everyone that hated on GTA 4 for being boring and loved Mafia 2? I just want you to know that I'm semi disgusted by you, but not as much as I am by this game. I mean jesus ****ing christ at how horrible this game is. From the god awful storyline with that unbearable douche Vito Scaletta, to the pathetic gunplay, horrendous cover mechanics, uninteresting hub world, pathetic corridor shoot outs, and some of the most boring missions ever put into a videogame You can not possibly name a game that exists that is anywhere near as boring as this massive piece of dog ****. What an absolute insult to sheer cIassic that was the original Mafia. Just another one of these terrible games putting too much effort into the stupid presentation, and not enough in its gameplay.

Red Dead Redemption. I didn't really enjoy anything about that game at all. I have a LOOOOONG list of complaints that I don't feel like typing up, but trust me, it's an awesome list.

In fact, most of what you said about Mafia 2 applies to Red Dead Redemption even more so. At least Mafia 2 had good controls to back up it's bad gameplay. RDR had no such luxury.

Anyway, I'll go with iNfAMouS. It's not a bad game per se, but from the stupid title to the awful characters to the underwhelming gameplay, there's nothing to get excited about beyond the fact it isn't overtly offensive. Honourable mentions to RDR, Far Cry 2, Conviction and Gears 2.

I despise too many games to list ... But i rarely get a chance to without risking fanboy reprisal, so i'll give it a go.

MGS4 -Terrible addition, very dissapointing.

SP:Conviction - The same as MGS4, but by a factor of 10

God Of War - Never understood the love for this game, it's the worst action/hack and slash whatever you want to call it I've played. Bayonetta makes it look silly.

Fable 2 - :cry:

Alan Wake - Just ridiculously boring, and repetative.

There are many games I've hated, but Sons of Liberty is definitely in the "kill it with fire" area. I can honestly say I like it less than Superman 64, and I think that game is objectively the worst of the worst. However, aside from it being very pretentious, it takes you out of the game so many times with its crap to where you're rarely playing for a half-hour without a cutscene or codec discussion. Actually, I think it's less time.

The game was so damn short too. My memory of the game is still very intact, and I remember when I played it with cutscenes, it was timed at a little over seven hours on normal. With cutscenes it was around three. That's just pitiful. Not to mention that the story is gives you is complete and utter crap. After the tanker mission, it doesn't waste your time in showing how convoluted it really is.

I will admit that it had outstanding fundamentals when you actually had the chance to play the game. But there's so much garbage disguised with high production values that it's not even funny.

Dispise is a strong word, more genres rather than specific games for me.

and I dont despise gta4 I just dont find it all that great. most likely caused I played saints row first before ant gta game and causem used to the customization the game offers. dont like it if I can't customize my own cars.

This gen? Far Cry 2. I didn't even bother to get more than an hour into the game. Maybe because I didn't know how to start missions, but quite frankly I was so bored that I didn't want to find out.

Wow, I hate the God of War series. It's just so dumb and cheesy. I remember playing God of War 2 for the first time, and Kratos belted out in uber-machismo helmet-headed gusto "I AM THE GOD OF WAR!" after killing someone. I just started laughing and turned the game off. And then I threw it away.

I have an irrational hatred for Prince of Persia ( 2008 ). I bought the game used for $18 and I have never felt so ripped off in my life. Everything about the game just screams terrible. The ONLY strong points of the game were Nolan North as The Prince (although the Prince had the exact personality as Nathan Drake) and the artstyle was interesting.

Aside from that, everything was terrible. The combat was utter trash and majority of the time you wouldn't even have to fight because you could kill enemies in 1 hit before the spawned. Doing this was simple since the platforming basically played itself. The boss battles were awful, plus fighting the same 4-5 bosses 3 times was so boring and repetitive that I didn't even want to finish the game. The puzzles were easy as well.

Another thing that bothered me about the platforming was that you had to do things EXACTLY the way the game wanted you to. If you're were supposed to run along a wall and grab a pole, but instead you jumped forward at the pole, The Prince would literally move right through the pole and not grab onto it. There was no variables to the platforming at all. The worst thing about the game though is the fact that there is 1,001 light seeds to collect for a trophy. Of course, I did them all and actually dreaded coming home from work or school because I was sick of finding them all.

The game was such a bastardized sequel to the 3 PoPs that were on the PS2. The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones were some of my favorite games on PS2. This game completely killed the entire series for me and despite the newest PoP game being similar to the PS2 ones, I refuse to buy it. I used to buy some not-so-popular games because I was quite a trophy-whore, but this game completely put me over the edge. If I don't enjoy, I will no longer attempt to get the platinum. This game actually made me consider quitting video gaming all together because after playing such a pathetic excuse for a game I simply lost the desire to see what else was out there. Thank god Uncharted 2 came out a month after I bought this game.

GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony

I had some huge problems with GTA IV, but the greatness of the writing, the story, and the fantastic big-city feel shone through.

while The Lost and Damned was everything i loved about GTA IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony was everything I hated.

Trapped between being over the top and completely serious, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE helicopter controls with the keyboard +mouse basically broke a large number of the missions. The characters were silly and unbelievable. The humor failed at being anything but silly - it wasn't self-depricating like other GTA games, rather it was on the verge of being offensive.

It kept the deeply frustrating feel that GTA IV seeped during its lesser moments all the time.

Far Cry 2, no idea why... I just can't play it... I have played and finished countles games, loved some, hated some, but I can NOT and I mean it can NOT finish Far Cry 2 cause it is so... so... booooring.

Couple that with an art style that makes kittens cry and a button-mashy combat system and you earn all my seething hatred. Its a miracle these same people could make something as great as TWEWY. I loved KH when I was younger, but in retrospect the only truely great one was the first. After 2 and up it got too button mashy/easy/overly dumb.

Oh and to the poster who said POP 2008, I totally agree. The artstyle is beautiful, but the game held your hand waaay to much and really disconnected the action from the player.

Tekken 6 is absolute crap. The fighting engine is dated, the controls are clunky, and the adventure mode is the most retarded thing this gen this side of Mass Effect 2's final boss.

MW2 is also crap. The story is bat**** retarded, the campaign is short and scripted to hell and back, and the multiplayer is unbalanced, glitchy, and flat out broken.

Fallout 3 is further proof that Bethesda should never be allowed to make another RPG. The game is ugly, riddled with technical issues, has a bad story, lackluster combat, and a terribly boring hub world. If need you a sleeping pill, buy Fallout 3.

Gears of War. I just dont see what anyone likes about it. The gameplay is boring as hell, the characters are lifeless and boring, the setting is boring, the story is non-existent, the enemies are lame, the bosses are lame...the game sucks.

Fallout 3 is a terrible game. Dead Rising is a terrible game. Fallout 3 had extremely annoying characters to me. I just wanted the dialouge to end. Then I go out in the wastelands and find a vague map, and clunky shooting mechanics. Then I play Dead Rising, which has the save points way too far spread out. Killing zombies bored me, and it was timed. What a fail. So because of these two horrible games, I will never play Dead Rising 2 or Fallout New Vegas.

Kingdom Hearts - Boring ass combat and a storyline that gets more and more ridiculous with each installment.

Mass Effect 1 & 2 - I hate these two because they have potential to be so much better, but it just falls short. The cover mechanics and moving around in general just feels stiff and wooden. I hate it. I also don't like how your crew barely interacts with each other. Take a page out of the book of ,Firefly, Bioware. Atmosphere is really lacking, the cities don't feel very grand, and the NPCs in them feel like cardboard cut outs. It feels like they haven't evolved at all in this area since KOTOR.

Left 4 Dead 2 - The cast of this game seriously just sucks compared to the first one.

Splinter Cell Conviction - What the **** is up with these restrictive levels that practically force me to use the "oh look at me i'm so badazz like Jason Bourne" button.

Killzone 2 - Same old run of the mill unmemorable bull**** campaign, only this time with 'cinematic aim lag'.

Red Dead Redemption - I can't play a western where the duels are lame as hell. That's just wrong.

Modern Warfare 2 - Still can't open doors.

Assassin's Creed - No Cross Bow? **** you Ubisoft.
