Highy rated games that you absolutely hate!!

You ever played a game that everyone was raving about and ended up absolutely hating it? I do! These are some games that I find to be overrated/overhyped games that I will never understand why it was popular in the first place.

Kingdom Hearts

I tried to like this game, I really did. Maybe you have to be a fan of Disney or something. The awful camera, tedious puzzles, cutesy disney characters and laughable story all made me wish I never bought this game. I really thought this was some sort of a Disney infomercial i was playing. Take away the Disney license and the square cameos and you have yourself a mediocre game.

Crash Bandicoot

Anyone think that this game is actually any good?Well, i wish i could be as easily entertained as you because to me, this game just plains sucks. And the character doesn't have the lasting appeal of a Mario or a Sonic. To me, it seems like someone was trying to parody game mascots and ended up creating Crash bandicoot.

Fallout 1 & 2

these games are not very fun to play imo. I had no idea where to go, what to do, or what was going on. It seems like there's a lot of trial and error; and you have to put a lot of tedious time into it to get any pleasure out of it. The grainy graphics have not aged very well either . This would be a good nostalgic game for those who played it before in the past or for those masochists who want an exercise in frustation. If you're new to the fallout franchise, stick with part 3.

Doom 3

This game had amazing graphics for its time. But the passage of time has stripped it bare of its grahpical sheen and all that is left is a medicore shooter.

Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3!!!

assassins creed, that game was lame from start to finish, the game engine itself was great but it was wrapped up in a game with 3 mile per hour horsie rides, 5 mission types and thats counting climbing towers and sittting on a bench(yes sitting on a bench was a mission lol) terrible ai, and horrible combat mechanics

the actual assassinations were awesome but that does not make up for the rest of the game and for that title to be gamespots action goty was just a joke

Perfect Dark: Zero, it tries to be too stylish but just falls flat

Burnout Paradise

Halo 3... Even though I got 1000 gamerscore in it and played it a lot in later 2007... I didn't like it very much... I was not a fan of the MP, and I didn't like/understand the story (having not played previous Halo's)...

I've already been beaten to the punch, but Assassin's Creed was a bore.

It had terrible gameplay and terrible AI, not to mention about 20 different lines of dialogue for ALL of the citizens in the game. I can't tell you how many times, while playing, I had heard "Curse the Engish King and his army of infidels," or "Who could've done such a thing?"

i dont see the point of hating games. lifes to short. i can tell if im not going to like a game and i just dont play it. i become indifferant

Crackdown, Gears of War I bought both of them and dislike both of them.HarlockJC

Alright but Crackdown did not score that high....

I would say Battlefield Bad Company (horrible hit detection, always late) and Bioshock. I just couldn't get into Bioshock for some reason.

Yeah I didn't like that game much... the MP was a pain (really slow)... and I didn't understand the story at all (never played a previous MGS game apart from 3 and I was equally confused by it)...

agreed. a very average,1 trick pony "horror" game. i can just imagine ID planning how to implement the horror element:

dev1: ok what can we do to make it scary in this section?

dev2: ive got it! turn down the lights! lets make it really difficult to see!

Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed was so freaking repetitive

FFXII had a horrible cast of characters with a lackluster story

FFVIII had such horrible gameplay and story

Off the top of my head:

Halo 3 (crap)

KZ2 (crap)

FF12 (sheesh)

Uncharted (ok, that's unfair but I was severely disappointed when it turned out to be more Gears than Jak).

Little Big Planet, Kameo..........

Oblivion and GRAW.

Assassin's creed - you just had to do the same things over and over and over again, couldn't play more than a few missions after that I just couldn't take it anymore. They even managed to make the assasinations boring because when you assassinate someone you get some boring speech. The only thing I liked about the game was the free running.

Spore - I actually played the creature creator longer than the actual game.
