Well it seems I gotta dust of this thing after all. The developpers told us fans that they were sorry about absolution and we forgive them... if they actually made this game like they used to make it. But with current gen graphics,

edit: it is indeed like the previous hitman games (so not like absolution) and with current gen graphics. Nice one from the devs to cater the fans.

seriously those games are uglier than actual '80's arcade games on their native resolutions.

I like the challenge the games have.

Not interested in UC4 online, and the Hitman Beta will be part of the game, so why spoil myself now when i'm going to get the complete edition? When ever that comes.

I like the hitman beta I just love where sometimes the ai just stand static and never move

Its exactly like the PS2 days, which is good, but at the same time feels very safe.

Wheres the randomly generated levels or at least the option to scramble them, vehicles, the ability to play dead, how about a devious crafting system within each level, environmental threats to the player, individual pieces of clothing, at this point everything in the environment should be usable as a weapon and throwable, there should be pickpocketing and destructible environments...

Right now it looks like a Blood Money clone, which is nice but im not excited.

it not only looks a lot better than blood money, the control of the character feels more like the first hitman games where you could just, if you were very good, come out guns blazing.

The fist fight system is quite nice too.

@commander: Definitely agree the graphics and controls are very refined at this point, it will probably end up a net positive to the franchise when the game is complete and out there, but a missed opportunity nonetheless.

It seems like a game that could have came out 10 years ago and still not be impressive, they should have elaborated on the old formula not replicate it with bigger levels and call it a day. Implement a fingerprint system that affects notoriety, have a hostage mechanic where you can negotiate ransoms, secondary characters with dynamic dialogue options that can trigger AI behaviour, let us provoke people, set them up, let us feign and cry wolf, plant murder weapons, contend with the environment, tie cheese wire everywhere and polish the floors. Give us a kill cam goddammit.

maybe so, but the hitman gameplay has always been enough for me. For me a current gen adaptation is more than enough.

Not to mention that the last really good hitman game was hitman contracts. Blood money was already a step down, absolution was a insult to the fans.

I'm enjoying the Hitman beta so much that I'm considering buying it digitally instead of waiting for the physical release later this year.
