Hitman GS's E3 Best Game In Show

Wow. I was expecting another award for Bioshock Infinite. Good to hear Hitman looks awesome.

I'm surprised that Gears of War 3 wasn't even nominated in almost anything...:? Sad that Uncharted 3 and Tomb Raider won nothing either.:(

I'm not liking it either... Conviction was cool at first cuz of my anticipation but that all died down after I realized it's a sub-par action-shooter with terrible shooting mechanics.:(

Good concepts and ideas, not so good execution.:?

I'm surprised that Gears of War 3 wasn't even nominated in almost anything...:? Sad that Uncharted 3 and Tomb Raider won nothing either.:(

Considering Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite were there, this makes no sense...

I'm a big fan of the Hitman series and I'm looking forward to this game and I hope it going to be great.

That's not really it, I was hoping for something like huge stage, multiple target routes, various ways to assassinate, social stealth (I remember one of the first missions in Contracts was assassinating someone in a nightclub), etc. This just looks like a linear action-shooter with focus on scripted stealth.

In my game trailer viewing experience, choice is the one thing you shouldn't try to push for. Has a way of coming across as awfully repetitive. :P Best to go from stealth then show when things go wrong.

As for the direction this game's going, I don't like what I've seen so far either, but assuming this is there for pacing purposes (MGS pure get-by-the-patrol gameplay would be awfully boring, hence the boss fights and action scenes), then I'm okay with it.

As far as awards go, Best of E3 is about as pointelss as you can get. That being said, as a Hitman fan, its good to see that the series is at least looking like it will continue to be awesome.

One problem with those games is that they didn't have women in showers or bodyguards being strangled by telephone lines that had just been ripped out of a wall.

I'm confused about how Gears 3 wasn't even nominated, seeing as it's the big 360 title for this fall... There is Forza 4 however.:P As for UC3 and Tomb Raider not winning anything, I thought they should've. At least Tomb Raider because the game looked raw.:D

I was really HYPE'd for Hitman, but I haven't seen anything great about the game at all thus far and I'm really indifferent about the game now... It really sucks too because I want a pure stealth game sooooooooo bad!:cry:

That's why I said I'm not liking it either.:P I loved the classic Hitman titles, but this looks a lot like Conviction from what I've seen at IGN's stage demo... Which isn't good in my book...:? It's not about "not wanting to evolve and having the same old", it's about how I persoanlly don't like the direction they are taking... I read somewhere that the old style of gameplay will be there and I'm hoping that it is.

So IO dumbs the game down in what looks to be every conceivable way, and GameSpot gives them best of show for it, over games like Prey 2, Battlefield 3, Skyward Sword, Bioshock Infinite and so on?

I was certain that Skyward Sword had at least won "Best Wii game", but that platform wasn't even IN the list.:lol:

Man I don't care, I refuse to HYPE Skyward Sword mayne, just like Uncharted 3 and Batman Arkham City. I will ride the boat and play the games, and get the dirt off my shoulders. 8)
